**ACTIVE TS/SCI SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED** D2 has an immediate  need for a PostgreSQL Database Architect to analyze, design, develop, implement, and support database infrastructure deployment and management. Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Manages the functionality and efficiency of a group of servers running on one or more operating systems</li> <li>Maintains database integrity and security, configures role-based access control (RBAC), and sets up administrative accounts</li> <li>Sets up, administers, and services accounts</li> <li>Maintain documentation for configurations, standards, and procedures</li> <li>Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products</li> <li>Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources</li> <li>Develops and implements testing strategies and document results</li> <li>Provides advice on performance tuning and training to end-users</li> <li>Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned</li> <li>Evaluates open-source or vendor tools and participates in database migration/special modernization projects</li> <li>Collaborates with developers on schema design, query optimization, and stored procedures</li> <li>Plans and executes database upgrades, patching, and migrations</li> <li>Ensures compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements</li> </ul>   What We're Looking For Required: <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience</li> <li>5+ years of related database analysis and/or administration experience</li> <li>PostgreSQL experience required. Oracle database administration is a plus</li> <li>Experience in PostgreSQL administration/tuning; including knowledge and implementation of database high-availability solutions and performance tuning</li> <li>Experience in monitoring, creating, and managing PostgreSQL server agent alerts</li> <li>Experience with database backup, restore, migration, and database snapshot technologies/strategies</li> <li>Knowledge on how to build/maintain efficient database table structures for both transactional and warehouse data</li> <li>Migration experience with Oracle, MySQL, and PostgreSQL,</li> <li>TS/SCI clearance</li> </ul> Bonus Points For: <ul> <li>CompTIA Security+ or equivalent</li> </ul> What to Expect Day-to-Day You'll work with moderate autonomy — trusted to manage your workload and make good technical decisions without someone looking over your shoulder. You'll collaborate with developers and infrastructure teams, advise end-users on best practices, and participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours support. The salary range for this position is typically $130 - $140k.
