Principal Data Operations Analyst
Job Description
As a Principal Analyst in the Market Insights (MI) business process, you will play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence and data integrity. This senior-level position demands deep expertise in executing BAU production tasks—such as data coding,matching, and quality checks—while also leading team coordination, stakeholder engagement, and issue resolution. You will be responsible for undergoing the end-to-end production workflow, ensuring timely and accurate data delivery, and maintaining high standards of quality across the team. With a strong process improvement mindset, you will identify inefficiencies, guide junior analysts, and implement solutions that enhance team performance and output reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
BAU Production (Expert-Level Execution)
- Perform advanced data coding, data matching, and transformation tasks.
- Run thorough quality checks to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
- Audit the applied stakeholder-requested changes to datasets with precision.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of data outputs as per SLAs.
Ownership of Production Workflow
- Maintain and audit team trackers to monitor task completion and quality.
- Ensure all production activities are documented and compliant with process standards.
Issue Resolution s RCA
- Lead investigations into data or delivery issues and conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
- Collaborate with the team to implement corrective and preventive actions.
Team Coordination s Quality Management
- Manage team workload and assign tasks based on priority and skill.
- Guide and mentor junior analysts to maintain high delivery standards.
- Audit team outputs regularly to ensure quality and consistency.
- Maintain a culture of accountability and continuous learning.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in data operations, analytics, or market insights.
- Proven expertise in data coding, matching, and quality assurance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in team coordination, mentoring, and workload management.
- Able to understand market trend and using AI Tools
- Strong Client Communication with Presentation Skills
- Should be able to understand Market trend and impact of the reports
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Proficiency in tools such as Excel, SQL, and data visualization platforms.
Preferred Qualification
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, Statistics, Data Science, or related field.
- Experience in market research or syndicated data processes.
- Familiarity with agile workflows
