## The team you will be a part of
The Engineering team discovers, develops and evaluates new product ideas, enhancements, or strategic product extensions, and translates research discoveries into usable and marketable products. Leads, plans and tracks all phases of the product life cycle, from inception to introduction into the marketplace. Coordinates with various functions to ensure successful product development and implementation.
## This role in summary
Currently, Whirlpool is seeking qualified candidates for an open Sr. Analyst position based in Brazil (Joinville) to join our Equipment and Tooling Team. In this role, you will be part of E&T team focused to develop and manage the business relationship between Whirlpool
manufacturing sites in the North American Region (NAR) and global suppliers that provide Equipment, Factory Automation Lines, and Tooling used to manufacture our products. This function is responsible for assessing Project requirements and identifying, developing, managing, and coordinating suppliers to meet the company's goals. The main focus will be in Assembly lines, Automatic Cells, Testing and Packaging Equipment and Tools.
## Your responsibilities will include
* Partner with NAR Manufacturing Team members in developing Commodity/Supplier Strategy for equipment/tools according to E&T Tech strategic roadmap (aligned with FMPs needs);
* Support RFP/RFQ (Request For Quotation) activity for suppliers;
* Confirm supplier’s ability to deliver against RFQ specifications/requirement;
* Be part of Tech Evaluation for local suppliers (Scorecard, 9Box);
* With a strategic mindset, evaluate potential Equipment & Tool Suppliers for innovative concepts as well as for cost, quality, development, delivery, technology and management and analyze tech solutions, price proposals, and other information to determine competitive prices and viable suppliers that meet project deliverables;
* Participate in supplier assessment and manage new supplier approval process.
## Minimum requirements
* Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/ Manufacturing/ Industrial;
* Fluent in English;
* 5 years of experience in a Manufacturing Engineer environment with main focus on Assembly, Automatic cells, Packaging and Test Equipment;
* Nice to have experience in Purchasing / Sourcing engineered components or Procurement managing capital projects from concept through execution.

* Project and time management skills;
* Analytical and computer-related skills, especially Google Workspace;
* Capacity to establish good relations with global Team, open minded and proactively
express her/his opinion.

This position is located at Joinville, the largest city in Santa Catarina state and an important industrial, financial and commercial center of the south region of Brazil. Here in this factory is centered the production of refrigerators, freezers, dryers, water purifiers and B.Blend machines. Also, here it's the base of the global product research and development team in Brazil for the refrigeration, air conditioning, water purifiers, cooking and eletronic areas.
