Team Summary
Visa Consulting & Analytics (VCA) Australia, New Zealand, and South Pacific (AUNZPI) is Visa's advisory division, working with Visa's clients (including card issuers, acquirers, and merchants) on a broad range of key business initiatives including strategy, operational optimisation, customer engagement and overall business profitability.
VCA is made up of three services lines - Advisory, Data Science and Implementation Services, the latter being the execution arm of VCA. Our Implementation Services teams (also known as squads) are embedded on client sites leading long-term engagements and delivering value primarily through implementation and execution services. We deliver objectives from a shared value agenda but are also closely connected to the broader VCA team, sharing knowledge, and bringing the best of Visa to the client.
We are looking for a Product Analyst to embed with one of our clients based in Auckland. This role is offered as a fixed-term contract for up to 24 months.
Role Summary
As a Product Analyst, you will support the effective day-to-day management of the program through performance reporting, insight generation and operational support. Embedded within the team, the role focuses on program analysis, performance insights and continuous improvement, helping to ensure strong customer and commercial outcomes. You will play a key role in enabling informed decision-making, supporting a test-and-learn approach, and improving customer experience, merchant value, and program effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you will:
Provide data and insights to support merchant prospecting, offer design and program optimisation.
Ensure operational effectiveness and efficiency through regular reporting, insight generation and analysis.
Support day-to-day programme coordination, including adhoc analysis, reporting requests and delivery support
Manage complaints resolution and identifies and initiates frontline process improvements.
Understand and track core metrics like: offer activation, incremental spend and frequency, and retention.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.
Qualifications
Key Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
Experience in a programme, product, analytics, or operations support role, preferably within banking, financial services, or a regulated environment.
Strong analytical capability, with experience working with data, reporting, and performance metrics to inform decisions. Ability to translate this into understandable and actionable insight.
Confidence using Excel (including pivots) and PowerPoint to analyse data and communicate clear, structured insights.
Ability to work across multiple stakeholders, balancing delivery support with analytical problem‑solving.
Strong attention to detail, paired with the ability to step back and see broader programme outcomes and patterns.
An understanding of (or ability to quickly learn) customer engagement, loyalty, or rewards‑based programmes.
Well‑developed organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
A growth mindset, curiosity, and genuine interest in improving customer and commercial outcomes through data and insight.
The role will ideally be based in Auckland CBD in a hybrid work environment (minimum 3 days in office per week).
