How you'll make an impact Gallagher Bassett is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join our product development team. Our team is doing exciting work building new analytics and AI products for our colleagues and customers. Your responsibilities will include partnering with the business to identify key requirements and ensure proper documentation to bring new products to life and evolve existing products. In addition, you will partner with the business to ensure user acceptance testing is robust and all feedback is documented and reviewed. Responsibilities include: You will define and document product requirements by partnering with business stakeholders, technical colleagues and vendors. This could include areas such as functional requirements, technical specifications, user stories, user interfaces, key performance metrics to measure success, and dashboard requirements. You will elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis. You will be the key point of contact to answer questions for the development team regarding product requirements and business needs. You will conduct User Acceptance testing with business stakeholders and vendors to ensure the product is built to meet the requirements you gathered and documented. This includes designing and executing test plans, documenting test results, and collaborating with stakeholders to address any issues or feedback. You will assist with the design and implementation of operational and system improvements to ensure products are both effective and efficient. You will analyze end user feedback, identify process deficiencies, research solutions and oversee the remediation of these deficiencies. You will also focus on gathering enhancement ideas and defining requirements which ensure we continue to evolve our products as the business evolves. You will build trust in our key business partner relationships You will create clarity in projects and work effectively through ambiguity You will handle complex business and technical environments You will work closely with product managers, designers, engineers, and other stakeholders to transform our product line. Contributing to discussions on product roadmap, ensuring successful product releases, and ultimately satisfying users. Skills & Experience Bachelor's degree or relevant combination of education and experience. 4 years of experience as a business analyst. Experience working with analytics and AI products preferred Knowledge of the insurance industry, specifically workers compensation and liability claims, preferred Consolidate & formalize requirements from a diverse group of stakeholders. Encourage and question business units on their assumptions regarding implementation and design. Strong communicator - Facilitation of requirements and meetings thru asking probing questions and truly listening and absorbing the needs of business partners and vendors Align business & technical objectives to facilitate a shared understanding of the problem at hand Evaluate and critically consider multiple options before helping the team settle on a solution Impeccable documentation and business writing skills - You have a keen ability to build clear and concise BRD's and clearly articulate the business asks Open to constructive feedback and learning from an experienced team Demonstrate excellent analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently, flexible and adaptable attitude, can manage shifting priorities, requests, and timelines. Ability to work in cross-functional teams and communicate with colleagues in both business and technical roles. Flexibility in use of SDLC frameworks – Agile/Waterfall/Hybrid About You Required: Bachelor's degree; 3 years of general business consulting experience with a major consulting firm or with a Fortune 1000 company Strong written communication skills Ability to author effective communication launching a new product to thousands of clients, brokers, and carrier partners Some experience developing and delivering training (if no experience, aptitude and interest in learning how to develop and deliver training) Experience working on implementation (deployment) stage of project lifecycle Ability to develop strong working relationships Preferred: Advanced degree Interest in and knowledge of the commercial property & casualty and/or life and health insurance industries Consulting experience including Change Management, Business Consulting, and Project Implementation disciplines Compensation and benefits We offer a competitive and comprehensive compensation package. The base salary range represents the anticipated low end and high end of the range for this position. The actual compensation will be influenced by a wide range of factors including, but not limited to previous experience, education, pay market/geography, complexity or scope, specialized skill set, lines of business/practice area, supply/demand, and scheduled hours.
