Product Developer, Sr-Data engineering, Kafka, ETL
Duties & Responsibilities
- Designs, develops, tests, and maintains scalable batch and streaming data pipelines.
- Builds and supports data ingestion, transformation, and integration capabilities across enterprise data sources.
- Works with Kafka/Confluent, Snowflake, SQL databases, and modern lakehouse technologies such as Iceberg or Delta Lake.
- Develops data processing solutions using Python, Spark, SQL, or cloud-native data services.
- Supports data governance, cataloging, lineage, quality, consent, masking, and lifecycle management use cases.
- Collaborates with architects, product managers, and engineering teams to design reliable Data Plane services.
- Reviews technical designs, improves coding standards, and mentors junior developers.
- Creates estimates, documents technical approaches, and delivers high-quality work on time.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong experience in data engineering, ETL development, data integration, and data pipeline design.
- Strong SQL skills with experience in SQL Server, Snowflake, PostgreSQL, or similar databases.
- Hands-on experience with Kafka/Confluent, Spark, Python, Snowflake, and modern lakehouse technologies.
- Familiarity with REST APIs, JSON, CDC concepts, data ingestion patterns, and data transformation frameworks.
- Experience with Azure, ADLS, CI/CD, Git, and Infrastructure-as-Code concepts is preferred.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of applicable software engineering or data engineering experience.
- 2+ years of specialized experience in data platforms, streaming systems, ETL, or data integration.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Experience with data governance, cataloging, lineage, data quality, or enterprise data platforms is preferred
