<p>Requisition ID # 173355 </p> <p><p>Job Category: Information Technology </p> <p>Job Level: Individual Contributor</p> <p>Business Unit: Technology &amp; Security</p> <p>Work Type: Hybrid</p> <p>Job Location: Oakland</p> <p> <p> <p> <p><p><strong>Department Overview</strong></p> <p>Information Systems Technology Services is a unified organization comprised of various departments which collaborate effectively to deliver high quality technology solutions.</p> <p> </p> <p>The IT Customer Web team is responsible for development and operations of PGE.COM and customer-facing web and mobile applications.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Position Summary</strong></p> <p>The IT Customer Web team is seeking an expert level Application Lead to drive the design, development, and delivery of innovative customer-facing self-service solutions for Customer Care. </p> <p> </p> <p>This role combines hands-on technical expertise with leadership responsibilities, serving as a key contributor in the development of Salesforce and AWS-based applications that support critical business and customer needs. The successful candidate will partner closely with business analysts, architects, and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-quality solutions while mentoring developers, establishing best practices, and ensuring alignment with business objectives and technology standards.</p> <p> </p> <p>This role offers an opportunity to lead the development of innovative customer-facing solutions using Salesforce and AWS technologies while making a meaningful impact on customer experience.</p> <p> </p> <p>This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and Oakland, CA approximately once per week, or more, based on business needs or company requirements.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Job Responsibilities</strong></p> <p> </p> <ul> <li>Lead the design, development, configuration, testing, and support of Salesforce and AWS-based customer-facing self-service applications.</li> <li>Analyze business requirements and existing systems to design scalable technical solutions, application logic, and database structures.</li> <li>Provide technical leadership for complex projects, coordinating cross-functional teams and ensuring successful delivery of enhancements and new capabilities.</li> <li>Collaborate with business analysts, architects, project managers, and vendors to translate business needs into functional and technical designs.</li> <li>Establish and enforce development standards, security requirements, and governance practices while reviewing and approving solution designs, code, and technical documentation.</li> <li>Serve as a subject matter expert, resolving complex application issues and supporting technology modernization initiatives.</li> <li>Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance, code reviews, and best-practice recommendations.</li> <li>Represent the team in client and vendor engagements and support project planning, risk management, and resource coordination.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p> <p>Minimum:</p> <p> </p> <ul> <li>Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience</li> <li>7 years' experience in programming analysis including designing, developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining Salesforce Cloud solutions (Experience, Service, or Energy &amp; Utilities) or related </li> </ul> <p> </p> <p>Desired:</p> <p> </p> <ul> <li>Experience leading customer-facing technology projects.</li> <li>Understanding of utility customer journeys, including payments and outage management.</li> <li>Salesforce development expertise, including Experience Cloud, Service Cloud, or Energy &amp; Utilities Cloud.</li> <li>Strong knowledge of Salesforce core data model, standard and custom objects.</li> <li>Experience with AWS-based application development and integrations.</li> <li>Experience with Salesforce user roles, configuration, and security controls.</li> <li>Strong coding skills in modern programming languages and web technologies.</li> <li>Experience with logical database design, application architecture, APIs, and systems integration.</li> <li>Knowledge of Lightning Web Components (LWC), Apex, SOQL, OmniStudio, REST APIs, JSON, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and SQL.</li> <li>Experience with source control and DevOps tools such as Git, Salesforce CLI, and Copado.</li> <li>Ability to lead and coordinate cross-functional project teams.</li> <li>Experience mentoring developers and reviewing technical designs and code.</li> <li>Strong stakeholder management and vendor coordination skills.</li> <li>Ability to translate complex business requirements into technical solutions.</li> <li>Proven ability to resolve complex application and integration issues.</li> <li>Experience driving process improvements and technology modernization initiatives.</li> <li>Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>Compensation</strong></p> <p>PG&amp;E is providing the full salary/pay range for this position.  The actual amount paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, internal equity,<strong> </strong>specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, and geographic location.  <strong>The range to reasonably expect will be between the minimum and midpoint listed below.  The final decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to the factors above. </strong>This job is also eligible to participate in PG&amp;E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs. </p> <p> </p> <p>Bay Area Min: $128,000.00</p> <p>Bay Area Mid: $173,000.00</p> <p>Bay Area Max: $218,000.00</p>
