About the Role

The Project Analyst plays a critical role in supporting the successful delivery of digital transformation and strategic projects by providing high quality project coordination, governance, analysis and reporting. 
This role will be a trusted enabler, working with Project and Program Managers to maintain delivery discipline and provide clear insights ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget, and that stakeholders remain informed and engaged throughout.  
This is a ‘hands on’ role suited to an early-career professional looking to build foundational skills in project management, digital delivery and governance within a fast-paced dynamic environment.

In this role, you will:

Project Governance and Reporting:
Support the maintenance of project governance frameworks, templates, and standards across project and digital delivery.
Prepare accurate and insightful project status reports, dashboards, and portfolio updates highlighting progress, challenges and go to green plans.
Maintain and monitor core project artefacts including schedules, milestones, actions/decisions, risks, issues, and dependencies (RAID logs).
Coordinate project meetings, working groups and steering committees, including preparation of timely agendas, reference materials and minutes.
Maintain and update project documentation repositories (e.g. SharePoint, Confluence). 

Planning and Scheduling:
Support the planning, coordination and execution of projects across the delivery lifecycle.
Develop and maintain project plans, dashboards and schedules.
Support project estimation activities and track actuals vs. planned effort in project related tools.
Flag scheduling conflicts, slippages, or resourcing gaps to the Project Lead for timely resolution.

Financial Tracking:
Assist with project budget tracking, forecast updates, and variance reporting.
Reconcile actuals against approved budgets, including resources and delivery milestones.

Change and Business Readiness:
Support change, testing, implementation and operational readiness activities including engagement with change champions network, stakeholder impact assessments and communications planning.

 

What you’ll bring to the role

  • 2+ years of experience in a project analyst, project coordinator, or business analyst support role (internship or graduate experience considered).
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid).
  • Experience with using AI tools or digital productivity assistance.
  • Strong attention to detail, prioritization, analytical and organisational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exposure to project financial tracking and budget management.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

 

Desirable:

  • Experience in financial services, insurance, technology or a regulated industry.
  • Experience working in a large-scale transformation program.
  • Project management accreditation (CAPM, PRINCE2 Foundation, or equivalent entry-level project management certification or degree qualification)
  • Change management qualifications or certification (ie PROCI)
  • Experience in project collaboration tools such as MS Project, Clarity, JIRA or Confluence.
  • Knowledge of SharePoint or other document management platforms.
  • Understanding of vendor management and contract/SOW processes (or eagerness to learn).
