Position Summary
The Digital Project Management Office (PMO) plans and implements key strategic Digital programs and projects to deliver outcomes benefiting UHN and the health system. We apply best practices for managing projects, change, and risk to ensure high quality deliverables, effective coordination of resources, and transparent progress reporting. Members of the PMO work in close partnership with a broad range of stakeholders, bringing the right teams together to streamline the demand, end-to-end delivery, and operational services in order to mobilize change and achieve value.
An exciting opportunity is available to showcase your talents as a Project & Business Process Analyst supporting the Clinical Applications portfolio. This position will deliver solutions that are data-driven, bring value to our stakeholders, and achieve UHN’s business objectives. We are seeking an organized, results-driven, innovative individual who can support various types of digital projects that support clinicians, researchers, educators, patients, and business areas. These initiatives include process redesign, software implementation, data analytics, and solution selection/design and implementation.
Duties
- Analyze business needs and opportunities, contributing to development of solution scope
- Apply rigorous project management techniques to assist in the preparation and management of project plans, schedules, budgets, risk management plans, and status reports
- Support stakeholder communication and engagement; change management and training
- Conduct workflow review, data analysis, business and technical requirements gathering, and process redesign
- Coordinate system design, application/system build and testing activities
- Develop adequate level of knowledge of the subject matter and digital systems being implemented to effectively move projects forward
- Support problem analysis, data analysis, and issue resolution, maintaining required documentation
- Support meeting administration and facilitation including scheduling project meetings, and taking and distributing meeting minutes
- Lead simple to moderately complex tasks, and sometimes small projects
Qualifications
- Undergraduate Degree in Health Informatics or Administration, Technology, Science, Business, or related field required
- Minimum 2 years of Project Management, Business Process/Analysis, and Data Analysis experience or equivalent required
- Sound knowledge of project management standards (project planning, implementation, evaluation, risk assessment, benefits realization) preferred
- Experience leading project workstreams or small projects independently preferred
- Experience developing/coordinating the development of business requirements
- Experience in conducting workflow mapping and analysis
- Experience in data analysis to support reporting and assessments
- Experience in supporting delivery of management-level presentations, training and/or end user support
- Experience coordinating or performing application testing preferred (required)
- Experience in applying change management methodologies and tools an asset
- Experience with hardware and/or software vendor relations an asset
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or Change Management certification an asset
- Familiarity with healthcare information systems, interfaces, HL7, ITIL, data centre, network infrastructure, and/or enterprise architecture an asset
- Experience with Epic system an asset, including use, build and/or vendor certified
- Proficient use of office productivity, project management, & scrum software (e.g. M365 tools, MS Planner/Project, MS Visio, Kanban, ServiceNow)
