We are currently looking for a Project Development Manager – Data Centres to join our team in London.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Regional Head of Project Development to support the expansion of our data centre development pipeline across the UK, Germany and Spain. The role will cover the development lifecycle from the assessment of early-stage project rights through to the Ready-to-Build (RTB) stage and sale of data centre projects.
You will play an important role in identifying and evaluating new opportunities, coordinating project development activities, building relationships with key stakeholders and working collaboratively with internal and external teams to successfully progress projects.
Your role will encompass:
- Support the Regional Head of Project Development in implementing the strategic plan for data centre development across Western Europe.
- Assist in building, coordinating and mentoring the new Data Centre team in London.
- Identify and evaluate new project opportunities originated through METLEN’s local development partners.
- Participate in due diligence processes for potential buy-side transactions.
- Coordinate the development of ongoing data centre projects, monitoring progress and reporting on key milestones to ensure timely delivery.
- Work closely with EPC, Grid, Legal and other relevant departments to execute project development activities.
- Support sell-side transaction processes.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including authorities, consultants and development partners.
- Monitor relevant regulatory and market developments and provide updates to the wider team.
What you bring to the role:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Legal Studies, Business Management or a related field.
- 4–6 years of experience in infrastructure project development, ideally with a focus on data centre assets.
- Strong organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise tasks effectively.
- An entrepreneurial mindset and the ambition to contribute to establishing METLEN as a leading data centre player in Western Europe.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with strong written and spoken English.
- Willingness to travel as required for project development activities and stakeholder meetings.
