What We're Looking For:

The Quality Assurance Analyst – Performance Testing is responsible for planning, designing, developing, executing, and analyzing performance tests to ensure enterprise applications meet performance, scalability, reliability, and availability requirements. This role will focus on identifying system bottlenecks, validating performance under varying load conditions, and providing actionable recommendations to improve application performance.
The ideal candidate possesses strong expertise in performance engineering and hands-on experience with OpenText LoadRunner Professional, LoadRunner Enterprise, and modern application performance monitoring (APM) tools. The role requires close collaboration with development, infrastructure, architecture, database, and business teams to ensure optimal system performance across enterprise applications.
Experience with Oracle EBS, SAP, Siebel, Salesforce (SFDC), or other enterprise platforms is highly desirable.Job Description
  • Design, develop, and execute performance, load, stress, endurance, volume, scalability, and spike testing strategies for enterprise applications.
  • Create comprehensive performance test plans, workload models, test scenarios, and test scripts based on business and technical requirements.
  • Develop and maintain automated performance test scripts using OpenText LoadRunner Professional.
  • Execute performance testing initiatives and validate application behavior under expected and peak business loads.
  • Analyze test results and identify performance bottlenecks across application, database, middleware, network, and infrastructure layers.
  • Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to investigate root causes and recommend performance improvements.
  • Design realistic workload models that simulate production user behavior and transaction volumes.
  • Monitor application and system performance using industry-standard monitoring tools.
  • Analyze server utilization, response times, throughput, resource consumption, and transaction performance.
  • Prepare performance test reports, executive summaries, and recommendations for stakeholders.
  • Participate in application sizing, capacity planning, and release readiness assessments.
  • Support CI/CD and continuous testing initiatives by integrating performance testing into deployment pipelines.
  • Create and maintain reusable performance testing assets, test data, and performance benchmarks.
  • Assist project teams with non-functional requirements gathering and performance acceptance criteria definition.
  • Validate performance impacts of application enhancements, upgrades, and infrastructure changes.
  • Support production incident investigations involving application performance issues.
  • Contribute to performance engineering best practices and continuous process improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in Performance Testing, Performance Engineering, or Quality Assurance.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with OpenText LoadRunner solutions.
  • Strong understanding of software testing lifecycle and performance engineering methodologies.
  • Experience designing performance testing strategies and workload models.
  • Experience executing:Load Testing Stress Testing Endurance (Soak) Testing Volume Testing Scalability Testing Capacity Testing Spike Testing
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience working in Agile and hybrid development environments.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex system interactions and identify performance bottlenecks.
Performance Testing Skills (Required)

OpenText Performance Testing Expertise

  • Advanced hands-on experience with:OpenText LoadRunner Professional OpenText LoadRunner Enterprise VuGen Analysis Controller Performance Center capabilities
  • Experience scripting and performance testing:Web Applications REST APIs SOAP Services Enterprise Applications Java Applications .NET Applications
  • Experience with:Correlation Parameterization Transaction Management Runtime Configuration Workload Modeling Test Scenario Design Result Analysis
  • Ability to build reusable performance testing frameworks and assets.
  • Experience executing large-scale performance tests involving thousands of virtual users.
  • Experience establishing performance baselines and acceptance criteria.
  • Ability to identify and diagnose performance bottlenecks across enterprise systems.
Technical Qualifications
  • Experience with SQL and database performance analysis.
  • Experience analyzing Oracle, SQL Server, or similar enterprise databases.
  • Experience with API performance testing.
  • Understanding of distributed system architecture and cloud-based applications.
  • Experience with:JIRA Azure DevOps ALM Git Jenkins CI/CD platforms
  • Familiarity with containerized and cloud-native applications is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience testing enterprise platforms such as: Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) or Siebel
  • Experience supporting enterprise application upgrades, migrations, and large-scale transformation initiatives.
  • Experience validating performance across integrated enterprise systems.
  • Experience working in manufacturing, supply chain, distribution, service operations, or finance environments.
  • Experience conducting capacity planning and infrastructure sizing exercises.
  • Exposure to performance engineering and shift-left testing practices.
Nice to Have

Additional Skills

  • AI Skills - Claude Code, Github Copilot, etc.
  • Performance test automation and continuous performance testing.
  • Basic scripting knowledge (JavaScript, C#, Java, Python, or PowerShell).
  • Cloud performance testing experience.
  • Experience working with globally distributed teams.
  • Understanding of SRE and observability concepts.
