What would you do? The Analyst – Quality Audit is responsible for independently reviewing operational transactions and processes to assess accuracy, adherence to procedures, regulatory compliance, and control effectiveness. The role identifies quality gaps and recurring errors, performs root-cause analysis, reports audit findings, and partners with operations and stakeholders to drive corrective and preventive actions and continuous improvement.
What are we looking for? Graduate or postgraduate qualification, preferably in Commerce, Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related discipline. Four to six years of experience in quality audit, quality assurance, operational risk, controls testing, compliance review, or financial-services operations. Strong understanding of audit methodology, sampling techniques, defect classification, root-cause analysis, and corrective and preventive action management. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail and the ability to interpret data and identify trends. Good verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present audit findings clearly and objectively. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint; experience with quality dashboards or audit tools is an advantage. Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, manage priorities, and collaborate effectively across teams. Willingness to work night shifts between 4:00 p.m. and 2:00 a.m. IST, work from the office full time, and support operations on Indian public holidays when required. Roles and Responsibilities: Conduct scheduled and risk-based quality audits of operational transactions, records, and supporting documentation. Evaluate work against approved standard operating procedures, client requirements, regulatory guidelines, and internal control standards. Validate the completeness, accuracy, timeliness, and consistency of processed transactions and associated evidence. Identify defects, control gaps, process deviations, and potential operational or compliance risks. Classify audit observations by severity, impact, and root cause in accordance with the quality framework. Perform root-cause and trend analysis to determine recurring error patterns and systemic issues. Prepare clear, accurate, and timely audit reports, quality scorecards, dashboards, and management summaries. Communicate findings objectively to process owners and stakeholders, supported by appropriate evidence. Escalate critical, high-risk, or repeated quality concerns through the defined governance process. Collaborate with operations, training, risk, and compliance teams to define corrective and preventive action plans. Track remediation actions to closure and verify that implemented solutions are effective and sustainable. Support calibration sessions to promote consistent audit interpretation, scoring, and feedback across the team. Maintain complete, accurate, and audit-ready working papers, sampling records, evidence, and issue logs. Recommend improvements to quality controls, procedures, training content, and process design based on audit insights. Follow established procedures, complete mandatory training on time, and contribute to assigned quality and continuous-improvement initiatives.BCom
