Regulatory Compliance Analyst
Overview
The selected candidate will be responsible primarily for ensuring daily regulatory compliance of OSHA recordkeeping (29 CFR 1904) for the Groton Shipyard and Quonset Point Facility as well as Electric Boat off sites. Responsibilities include, but not limited to, database management, safety metric compilation, data collection, and ISO 45001 program management. In addition, the job will require the employee to interpret regulations as they apply to work processes, recordkeeping standards and other processes, practices and procedures. Investigation and resolving of compliance problems, questions, or complaints received from other units of the company, customers, government regulatory agencies, etc.
This individual will interface routinely with other members in the department as well as medical and worker’s compensation personnel. The selected candidate will be assigned to the Groton Shipyard, but will be required to travel to Quonset Point. The position requires strong interpersonal skills that demonstrate confidence and knowledge. Strong attention to detail is required. Database management knowledge is also required. Candidate will be expected to develop a working knowledge of State and Federal Occupational Health and Safety regulations and how these regulations are applied in an industrial facility.
Primary Duties:
- Maintaining OSHA 300, 300A and 301 logs and accurately performing OSHA record-keeping duties in accordance with 29 CFR 1904.
- Collaboration with EB Occupational Health groups
- Oversight of Safety Department Project Coordinator Tech Aides data and presentation requests.
- Compilation of charts, tables and graphs to meet business needs
- Ability to provide reports and analysis of safety and injury data
- Upload data to websites
- Provide data to governing regulatory bodies
- Oversight of Electric Boat’s Safety Manual regulatory updates and revisions
- Oversight of Electric Boat's external safety related audits
Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- 1+ years of experience in regulatory compliance, quality, auditing, OSHA record keeping, statistics, or data analysis
Preferred:
- Bachelors degree
- 3+ years of experience in regulatory compliance, quality, auditing, OSHA record keeping, statistics, or data analysis
- Experience in Statistical Analysis
- Experience in database design
- Working knowledge of safety regulations
- Prior experience or working knowledge of OSHA record-keeping
- Prior experience with ISO audit programs
