JSI invites you to join our team as a Regulatory Research Analyst on our Regulatory Affairs team in our Greenbelt, MD office, where you'll play a critical role in advancing broadband and telecommunications initiatives that expand connectivity and drive digital inclusion—while advancing your career within a mission-driven, growth-focused organization.

About the Company:
JSI is a leading full-service consulting firm specializing in broadband solutions. For over 60 years, we have provided independent communications service providers with expert financial, engineering, management, operational, regulatory, and strategic guidance. Our extensive industry knowledge and proven track record of success have empowered clients to achieve sustainable growth and profitability. With clients nationwide and a powerful presence in markets across the United States, JSI empowers rural and regional broadband providers to expand, evolve, and excel in a rapidly shifting digital world.

Position Overview:
The Regulatory Research Analyst supports JSI's Regulatory Affairs Department by researching, monitoring, analyzing, and summarizing federal and state telecommunications, broadband, public utility, and regulatory developments. This is a research and writing role: the analyst reviews statutes, rules, orders, and other source materials, identifies relevant changes, and translates complex information into clear, practical guidance — while helping keep JSI's regulatory databases, briefings, and knowledge resources accurate, current, and useful. The role suits someone detail-oriented, curious, and able to manage multiple priorities.

Growth & Opportunity:
This role is what you make of it. Alongside the core research and writing, it offers:
  • The opportunity to partner with sales and marketing to help grow the service and contribute creative ideas.
  • The opportunity to recommend improvements to systems, processes, and workflows.
  • The opportunity to grow as the service, the department, and your own responsibilities expand.
