As a well-funded early-stage startup, Gruve offers a dynamic environment with strong customer and partner networks.</p></div><p><strong>Position Summary</strong></p> <p>We are hiring a Release Manager based in either the APAC or EMEA region to coordinate the end-to-end release lifecycle for a portfolio of enterprise and product-facing applications. You will partner across engineering, QA, infrastructure, security, and business stakeholders to ensure that every release is predictable, auditable, and customer-safe.</p> <p>This is a hands-on role focused on running the release cadence reliably, improving CI/CD and change processes incrementally, and providing regional coverage for release activity across APAC and EMEA time zones.</p> <p>Candidates from premier institutes are highly preferred for this position.</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Maintain the release calendar for in-scope products, coordinating timing, dependencies, and stakeholder communication across APAC and EMEA teams.</li> <li>Run release readiness reviews and facilitate go/no-go decisions, ensuring acceptance criteria, test evidence, security sign-off, and operational runbooks are complete before deployment.</li> <li>Execute deployments to staging and production environments, including coordination of pre- and post-release validation, smoke tests, and rollback if needed.</li> <li>Operate and continuously improve CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps), reducing manual steps and lead time for changes.</li> <li>Drive change management in line with ITIL practices and applicable regulatory frameworks (e.g., GxP, 21 CFR Part 11), maintaining a complete and audit-ready release record.</li> <li>Coordinate hotfix and emergency change processes, including incident-driven releases, while protecting overall system stability.</li> <li>Support healthy lower environments (dev, QA, staging) by helping manage availability, configuration parity, and refresh cadence.</li> <li>Track and report release metrics such as deployment frequency, lead time for changes, change failure rate, and mean time to recovery (DORA metrics).</li> <li>Act as the regional release point of contact for APAC and EMEA stakeholders, escalating risks and decisions clearly and on time.</li> <li>Document release processes, runbooks, and lessons learned, and share best practices with engineering teams across regions.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Basic Qualifications</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.</li> <li>4–6 years of professional experience in software engineering, DevOps, or release management, with at least 2 years in a release-focused role.</li> <li>Hands-on experience with modern CI/CD tooling (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps) and version control workflows (Git).</li> <li>Working knowledge of at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerized deployments (Docker; Kubernetes a plus).</li> <li>Demonstrated experience coordinating releases across multiple teams and environments, including managing downstream dependencies.</li> <li>Practical exposure to change management frameworks (ITIL) and to releasing in audit-controlled environments.</li> <li>Strong written and verbal communication; able to translate technical risk into clear business language for stakeholders.</li> <li>Proven ability to operate effectively in a fully remote, globally distributed team, with flexibility to cover APAC or EMEA working hours.</li> <li>Based in and authorized to work in an APAC or EMEA country.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Preferred Qualification</strong></p> <ul> <li data-section-id="1a5l8p" data-start="872" data-end="955">Experience supporting global or regional teams across APAC and EMEA time zones.</li> <li data-section-id="8h6cpo" data-start="956" data-end="1053">Familiarity with DevOps best practices, automation, and continuous improvement methodologies.</li> <li data-section-id="1preqn6" data-start="1054" data-end="1150">Strong understanding of DORA metrics, deployment KPIs, and operational excellence practices.</li> <li data-section-id="168fm85" data-start="1151" data-end="1247">Ability to conduct release readiness reviews, risk assessments, and go/no-go meetings with stakeholders.</li> <li data-section-id="115jaz" data-start="1357" data-end="1451">Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional coordination skills.</li> <li data-section-id="mqjcqi" data-start="1452" data-end="1555">Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail and operational stability.</li> </ul><div class="content-conclusion"><p><strong>Why Gruve</strong></p> <p>At Gruve, we foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
