JOB FUNCTION / SUMMARY:
The Risk Analyst is primarily responsible for supporting the Company’s strategic enterprise-wide process to provide reasonable assurance regarding the achievement of its objectives while managing risk within its risk appetite. This role will perform targeted analytics to ensure risk reports are current, accurate and complete as well as support continuous improvement to the Company’s risk governance framework.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Analyze data for accuracy and completeness with respect to efforts to identify, assess and document risks to strategic playbook goals, critical operational processes and remediation plans for open risk issues.
- Collect data and prepare summary and analytical reports such as dashboard analytics, risk & loss analysis / classification, issue resolution, and self-assessment completion.
- Analyze or critique analysis of potential operational loss events, risk mitigation cost/benefit comparisons and risk/reward decisions using the Company's quantitative methods and techniques.
- Support preparation of senior / executive management and Board committee reports, agendas and drafts meeting minutes, and fulfillment of related administrative obligations to governance committees.
- Maintain department manuals and related documentation; such as training materials.
- Supports administration of department technology platforms / systems needed to support department activities.
- Participate in special projects, management committees and meetings in an analytical or administrative capacity.
- Attend industry meetings, seminars or conferences on risk topics determined relevant to department or the Company’s operations.
- Act as supporting facilitator for risk assessment workshops.
- Develop and/or conduct targeted risk assessments and report findings.
- Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Risk Management or related field; equivalent combination of education, related training and experience may be considered
- 1 year related experience and/or training
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office products to include Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Outlook
- Willingness to pursue risk or audit related certifications at direction of management
ESSENTIAL MENTAL & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to travel if required to perform the essential job functions
- Ability to work under stress and meet deadlines
- Ability to operate related equipment to perform the essential job functions
- Ability to read and interpret a document if required to perform the essential job functions
- Ability to lift/move/carry approximately 10 pounds if required to perform the essential job functions. If the employee is unable to lift/move/carry this weight and can be accommodated without causing the department/division an “undue hardship” then the employee must be accommodated; hence omitting lifting/moving/carrying as a physical requirement.
