Royalty Analyst

In this role, you will play a key part in managing the monthly royalty payment process, including account analysis, reconciliations, and payment execution. Key Accountabilities:
- Analyze, manage and reconcile royalty payables accounts with timely response to queries
- Work with cross functional groups such as Production Accounting, Commercial Operations, Joint Venture AccountingĀ and LegalĀ
- Assist with various monthly and annual reporting requirements
- Identify and recommend process improvements
- Assist with the review and validation of material non-operated annual throughput adjustments
- Complete other projects as assigned
What You Bring to the Role:
- 0-4 years of related accounting and/or industry experienceĀ with a solid foundation in accounting principles, financial analysis, and business concepts
- Bachelorās degree in Accounting or Finance
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both internal teams and external stakeholders
- Demonstrated analytical and problemāsolving abilities, with a detailāoriented approach to reviewing data and delivering accurate results
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to work with large data sets and perform basic to intermediate analysis
- Previous experience or exposure to the oil and gas or mining industry is considered an asset
