The Sales Analyst is responsible for the day-to-day execution of CRM hygiene, data integrity, and serves as a backup to frontline operational support for the Sales organization. This role assumes ownership of CRM cleanliness and operational enforcement, allowing the Sales Operations Manager to focus on broader tooling, cross-functional initiatives, and project leadership.

This role is highly operational and execution-focused, with a strong emphasis on data quality, process adherence, issue resolution, and responsiveness to Sales needs.

Core Responsibilities

1. CRM Hygiene & Data Integrity (Primary Focus)

This role takes over day-to-day ownership of CRM hygiene and enforcement from the Sales Operations Manager.

  • Own CRM data quality standards across all Sales-facing objects.

  • Execute daily, weekly, and monthly hygiene routines to ensure data accuracy and consistency.

  • Enforce expectations for:

  • Required fields and field completeness

  • Opportunity stage progression and close-date accuracy

  • Account and hierarchy usage

  • Activity logging and basic usage standards

  • Identify, triage, and remediate:

  • Duplicate records

  • Orphaned accounts, contacts, and opportunities

  • Stale or inactive pipeline

  • Incomplete, conflicting, or inconsistent data entries

  • Partner with Sales leadership and Sales Operations Manager to reinforce accountability for CRM usage and compliance.

  • Serve as the operational owner for CRM cleanliness, escalating systemic issues or automation gaps to the Sales Operations Manager and IT as needed.

  • Maintain and distribute standard Salesforce reports and dashboards to provide operational visibility (non-analytics, non‑predictive).

This scope directly aligns with known CRM health challenges and ongoing cleanup initiatives documented in Sales Operations priorities.

2. Sales Help Desk & Frontline Support (Shared Responsibility)

This role provides tier1 and tier2 support for Sales in partnership with the Sales Operations Manager.

  • Act as a first point of contact for Sales-related operational questions and issues, particularly during U.S. off-hours.

  • Support Salesforce and tool usage questions including:

  • Access issues

  • Routing errors

  • Workflow confusion

  • Basic reporting requests

  • Triage incoming issues and determine whether they can be resolved operationally or require escalation.

  • Document issues clearly and escalate to the Sales Operations Manager or IT with strong business context.

  • Maintain FAQs, internal documentation, and repeatable guidance to reduce recurring help desk volume.

  • Follow established escalation and support processes when technical intervention is required.

3. Process Execution & Operational Support

  • Support execution of Sales Operations processes such as:

  • Pipeline reviews

  • Deal hygiene checks

  • Territory or account updates

  • Tool and process rollouts

  • Execute defined operational playbooks and recurring processes with consistency.

  • Assist the Sales Operations Manager in operational projects by owning defined workstreams or execution tasks.

  • Monitor adherence to Sales processes and surface gaps or breakdowns proactively.

  • Provide feedback from frontline execution that informs process improvement and tooling decisions.

Ideal Background

  • 2–5+ years of experience in Sales Operations, Business Operations, or CRM-focused analyst roles.

  • Strong hands-on experience working in Salesforce in a Sales environment.

  • High attention to detail and comfort working in data-heavy workflows.

  • Experience supporting frontline Sales teams in a help-desk or enablement capacity.

  • Comfortable following defined processes with consistency and discipline.

  • Strong written communication skills and ability to work effectively across time zones.
