RxSight® is an ophthalmic medical technology corporation headquartered in Aliso Viejo, California that has commercialized the world’s first and only adjustable intraocular lens (IOL) that is customized after cataract surgery. The company’s mission is to revolutionize the premium cataract surgery experience by allowing surgeons to partner with their patients to achieve optimized results for every unique eye.


OVERVIEW:

The Sales Analyst provides the analysis that drives commercial decision-making across the US sales organization. Reporting to Global Sales Operations, this role turns sales, account, and market data into standardized performance reporting, Salesforce dashboards, actionable insight, and models that support territory, quota, compensation, forecasting, and growth decisions. The role maintains field territory mapping and assignments across both the sales and clinical field teams, and integrates purchased third-party market data into internal analysis and forecasting. It partners closely with the Data Analytics team on data and dashboards, and works directly with sales leadership on the analysis behind quarterly and strategic planning. The position brings in-house and formalizes the commercial sales analysis the organization currently performs on an ad hoc basis.

  • US Field Sales and Field Clinical Leadership (territory mapping and assignments)
  • Data Analytics team (data sources, structures, dashboards, and third-party data)
  • CRM / Salesforce, Commercial Programs, and Finance

Requirements

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


Sales Performance, Reporting & Salesforce Dashboards

  • Design, build, and maintain Salesforce dashboards and reports for sales and commercial leadership.
  • Build and maintain standardized sales performance reporting across rep, territory, region, account, and product views.
  • Track performance against quota, forecast, and key KPIs; surface trends, risks, and growth opportunities.
  • Standardize recurring reporting to reduce manual and ad hoc effort.

Territory Mapping & Assignments

  • Maintain field territory mapping and assignments across both the sales and clinical field teams.
  • Keep territory definitions, alignments, and account assignments current as the field organization changes.
  • Support territory design, realignment, and quota alignment analysis.

Account, Market & Third-Party Data Analysis

  • Analyze account and surgeon-level trends, adoption, and utilization across the LAL system and accessories.
  • Build account tiering, segmentation, and growth-opportunity models to guide commercial targeting.
  • Integrate purchased third-party market data into internal analysis and forecasting, reconciling external and internal sources.
  • Use third-party and internal data for competitive and market analysis to inform commercial strategy.

Quota, Compensation & Forecasting

  • Support quota setting, and model sales compensation plans, payouts, and scenario analysis with Commercial Programs and Finance.
  • Support demand and revenue forecasting using sound analytical methods, incorporating third-party market data where relevant.
  • Provide the analysis behind quarterly business reviews and strategic planning.

Decision Support

  • Respond to ad hoc analytical requests from sales and commercial leadership.
  • Translate analysis into clear recommendations, visualizations, and presentations for decision-makers.
  • Partner with the Data Analytics team to ensure a single source of truth for commercial metrics.

Performance Metrics

  • Timeliness and accuracy of sales reporting and analysis
  • Adoption of dashboards and insight by sales and commercial leadership
  • Quality of decision support across territory, quota, compensation, and growth
  • Reduction of manual and ad hoc reporting through standardization

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with advanced Excel (modeling, pivot tables, lookups).
  • Hands-on Salesforce report and dashboard building; experience with BI and reporting tools, Power BI preferred, SQL a plus.
  • Experience maintaining territory mapping and field assignments, and integrating or reconciling third-party or external market data.
  • Understanding of core sales operations concepts: quota, territory, compensation, pipeline, and forecasting.
  • Ability to translate data into clear, actionable insight and to communicate effectively with leadership.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and organization.
  • Medical device or high-growth commercial analytics experience preferred; ophthalmic exposure a plus.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • This position has no direct supervisory responsibility.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, and TRAINING:

  • BA / BS in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Analytics, or a related field.
  • 3 to 5+ years of experience in sales or commercial analytics, sales operations, or business analysis, preferably in medical device or a high-growth commercial environment.
  • Training to be completed per the training plan for this position as maintained in the document control system.
  • The training requirements on TRN-10007 Insider Trading Policy, TRN-10008 Global Anti-Bribery and Anti-Corruption Policy and TRN-10009 Code of Business Conducts and Ethics must be diligently completed within 15 days from the hiring date and on an annual basis.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

  • N/A. Power BI, SQL, or analytics certifications are a plus.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

  • MS Excel - Advanced
  • Salesforce (reports and dashboards)
  • Power BI or comparable BI / reporting tool
  • SQL a plus
