The Sales Compensation Analyst supports the commission function for CBX Solutions, partnering with the Commissions Manager and business stakeholders on commission calculations, plan documentation, agreement administration, and reporting across all brands and business units. This role helps ensure commission plans are accurately calculated, consistently administered, and clearly documented, including supporting the added complexity of cross-SERVE arrangements. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills with the attention to detail needed to support plan documentation, agreements, and reporting at a company-wide, multi-brand scale.
Essential Functions
Commission Calculations⢠  Execute commission calculations across assigned brands, sales roles, and plan types on a recurring (monthly/quarterly) cycle.⢠  Validate calculation inputs against source systems (CRM, ERP, etc) to ensure accuracy prior to payout.⢠  Investigate calculation discrepancies and edge cases, escalating disputes as needed and documenting resolution logic for future reference.⢠  Partner with Payroll/Finance to ensure accurate and timely commission payments.Plan Management⢠  Assist in writing, documenting, and maintaining formal commission plan documents for each role/brand, ensuring plans are clear, complete, and accurate.⢠  Support the lifecycle of commission agreements, including drafting, distribution, signature collection, versioning, and archiving.⢠  Maintain a centralized, audit-ready repository of all active and historical commission plans and signed agreements.⢠  Support Sales leadership, HR, Legal, and Finance in designing new plans and revising existing plans in response to changing business needs.⢠  Track plan effective dates, renewal cycles, and required re-signatures; proactively flag gaps in coverage or documentation.Analysis & Plan Performance⢠  Analyze commission plan performance against cost-of-sale targets, payout curves, and intended behavioral incentives.⢠  Model proposed plan changes to project financial impact before implementation.⢠  Prepare regular reporting on commission spend, plan effectiveness, and payout trends for Sales, Finance, and executive stakeholders.⢠  Identify inconsistencies or inequities across brand/plan structures and recommend standardization opportunities.Cross-SERVE Commissions⢠  Administer commission arrangements for cross-SERVE opportunities⢠  Define and apply consistent rules for commission splits, crediting, and payout sequencing across contributing brands.⢠  Support resolution of cross-brand commission questions, escalating disputes to the Commissions Manager as needed.⢠  Maintain documentation standards specific to cross-SERVE deals, ensuring traceability of how credit and payout were determined.
Minimum Qualifications⢠  Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; equivalent experience considered.⢠  2+ years of experience in sales compensation, commissions administration, or a related finance/analytics function; multi-entity or multi-brand experience preferred.⢠  Advanced Excel skills required; experience with CRM and ERP/HRIS systems  strongly preferred.⢠  Experience supporting or maintaining formal plan documents or agreements preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities ⢠  Strong analytical skills with the ability to model financial scenarios and communicate findings to non-financial stakeholders.⢠  High attention to detail and comfort operating in an environment with limited existing structure, building process where none currently exists.⢠  Discretion in handling sensitive compensation data⢠  Analytical rigor, comfortable executing complex calculations with zero tolerance for payout errors.⢠  Process orientation, able to follow and document structure with strong attention to detail.⢠  Cross-functional influence, works effectively across Sales, Finance, HR, and Legal without formal authority over those groups.⢠  Clear written communication, able to translate complex plan mechanics into documentation that holds up to audit and to less technical audiences
