<p><strong><u>SUMMARY:</u></strong></p>
<p>The HSE Associate (EU) plays a critical role in supporting Avetta’s EMEA operations by conducting manual audits, verifying contractor safety documentation, and ensuring compliance with applicable legislation and client-specific requirements. This role is essential in driving CARES+ values - Communication, Accountability, Responsiveness, Empathy, and Solution - through proactive engagement with EU suppliers and contractors.</p>
<p>The HSE Associate works under the supervision of the QHSE Lead, EMEA. </p>
<p><strong>This role is offered on a hybrid working basis for candidates within commuting distance of our Maidenhead office, with an expected schedule of 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home. Candidates who are located within a commutable distance are strongly preferred.</strong></p>
<p><strong>Please note: this role requires full working rights in the UK without current or future sponsorship.</strong></p>
<p><strong><u>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</u></strong></p>
<p>Conduct Manual Audits to assess a Contractor’s Safety and Health Programs, Procedures, and Training documentation required based on exposure hazards associated with services performed. The Audits are intended to ensure compliance with applicable legislation (Federal, State, Provincial, etc.) as well as any Client site requirements. In addition, the HSE Associate will be responsible for the following:</p>
<ol>
<li>Conduct <strong>Audits</strong> and other assessments within defined <strong>SLA timelines</strong> (e.g., 10 business days for manual audits).</li>
<li>Ensure <strong>audit quality</strong> and compliance with Avetta protocols (≥95% per quarter).</li>
<li>Provide <strong>technical guidance</strong> and support to contractors to close audit gaps.</li>
<li>Respond to <strong>supplier inquiries</strong> via email or phone within <strong>24–48 hours</strong>, documenting all correspondence.</li>
<li>Assist in <strong>audit closure</strong> and verification processes.</li>
<li>Maintain accurate and timely records in contractor account notes.</li>
<li>Escalate unresolved issues to the QHSE Lead, EMEA or designated Safety Professionals.</li>
<li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support EU supplier engagement and continuous improvement.</li>
<li>MUST HAVE RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION.</li>
</ol>

<p><strong><u>EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE</u></strong><strong><br></strong></p>
<p>Potential candidates for this position must meet the following requirements:</p>
<ul>
<li>2-year or 4-year degree in <strong>Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or related field</strong> (preferred).</li>
<li><strong>NEBOSH</strong>, <strong>IOSH</strong>, or equivalent <strong>HSE certifications</strong> (preferred).</li>
<li>1–5 years of experience in <strong>safety auditing</strong>, <strong>contractor verification</strong>, or <strong>HSE program development</strong>.</li>
<li>Experience working with <strong>EU-based suppliers</strong> or in a <strong>multinational environment</strong> is a plus.</li>
</ul>
