Position Summary:
The Sales Operations & Support Analyst for Sales Contracts is an entry-level professional role responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing reporting solutions that support Sales Contract operations. Using AppSheet, Smartsheet, Power BI, and approved AI-enabled tools, the role develops and maintains dashboards, trackers, reports, and automated workflows that provide visibility into contract status, operational performance, workload, and team metrics.
The analyst applies foundational analytical and technical skills to develop standardized and AI-assisted reporting solutions, maintain automation logic, and validate data accuracy across operational systems. Working within established frameworks and under guidance, the role leverages available AI and automation capabilities to enhance reporting outputs, identify data issues and trends, and progressively develop greater ownership of assigned reporting solutions.
The position develops technical competence in business analytics, AI-augmented automation, low-code/no-code solution development, and data visualization within Vertiv's global Sales Operations environment. The role provides a foundation for progressively taking on more complex reporting, automation, and analytical responsibilities while supporting accurate, timely, and reliable operational reporting.
Job Responsibilities:
- Build, maintain, and enhance dashboards, trackers, and automated reports using AppSheet, Smartsheet, Power BI, and other approved reporting tools to present key performance indicators and operational trends to support Supervisor- and Manager-led analysis.
- Extract, consolidate, and validate data from designated source systems to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of reporting outputs delivered to management.
- Monitor reporting outputs and identify data anomalies, inconsistencies, or recurring issues that may impact reporting accuracy, escalating concerns to the appropriate process or functional owner.
- Maintain reporting records, transaction data, project logs, and supporting documentation to ensure data traceability, reporting continuity, and audit readiness.
- Develop and maintain automated workflows and leverage available AI-enabled capabilities to reduce manual effort and improve the timeliness and reliability of reporting.
- Create and maintain reporting and process documentation to support standardized reporting practices, knowledge transfer, and consistent use of reporting tools across supported functions.
- Develop and refine data visualizations, dashboards, process flows, and other communication tools that present operational information clearly and effectively for Supervisors, Managers, and leadership.
Qualifications:
- Work Experience:
- At least 1 year of experience in data analytics, reporting, business operations, or administrative/technical support preferred; relevant internship or academic project experience may be considered.
- Experience with reporting tools, dashboards, or workflow automation is an advantage.
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field preferred.
- Equivalent relevant experience, technical training, or demonstrated skills may be considered in place of a degree.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Basic knowledge of Excel data functions, data organization, and reporting; familiarity with Power BI, Smartsheet, or AppSheet is an advantage.
- Comfortable working with data sets, generating reports, validating information, and presenting data through basic visualizations.
- Familiarity with databases, dashboards, CRM, or enterprise systems such as Oracle or Salesforce is an advantage.
- Interest in learning low-code/no-code platforms, workflow automation, and AI-enabled reporting tools.
- Ability to follow established technical procedures, maintain system documentation, and learn new applications and reporting tools.
