Position Objective: The Scientific Program Analyst will independently provide support services to satisfy the overall operational objectives of National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences (NCATS), Division of Pre-Clinical Innovation (DPI), Translational Models Branch (TMB) and 3D-MOFIB TDC within the National Institutes of Health

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work with TMB Leadership to coordinate scientific teams on specific projects, track progress, and prepare scientific and progress reports as needed 5
- Assist Project Managers with requests to Team Leads by sending email requests and following-up in person as needed for compliance.
- Read, interpret, analyze and condense material from a variety of sources for presentation
- Collect information regarding Data Calls, Congressional, Office of the Director and NCATS requests
- Collect updated project information from TMB scientific staff; send reminders; perform data entry into the NCATS project tracking website and eventual deposition in NIH's NIDB database.
- Collect information from TMB staff/leads, send reminders and report results back to DPI Reporting Teams 4
- Performs logistical planning of various scientific meetings, lectures, workshops.
- Help update and provide links/access to shared drive folder for presenters, coordinate meeting room scheduling/setup and submit A/V requests with NCATS IT
- Send out presentation calls and reminders, share agenda updates with TMB staff
- Assist with logistics for monthly TMB Meeting
- Organize and attend scientific and programmatic meetings organized by TMB
- Serve as Reporting Liaison for TMB for various mandated reporting calls arising from DPI (e.g., Human Biospecimen reporting,
- DURC agent/toxin reporting) 3
- Reviews and evaluates the performance of the organization.
- Track and monitor POTS orders/budget for each group and prepare reports and summaries of data and relevant information 2
- Track funding and perform budget exercises
- Provide deadline reminders to Program staff.
- Analyzes existing scientific programs and makes recommendations for improvement.
- Serve as ZIA (NIH RePORTER) annual project report Liaison.
- Assist with compound shipments/FOTS requests for compound sharing/profiling
- Work with staff to move purchasing inquiries from TMB staff members to relevant contacts in Purchasing, and where necessary, assist with purchasing documentation for NCGC purchases above the Micropurchasing Threshold (including JOFOCs, Sole Source Justifications, and Statements of Work), and enter those orders into POTS/SOS. 1
- Work with TMB Branch Chief to prepare job advertisements for various needed positions, and work to submit new position requests in the DPI Request-to-Recruit system
- Take and compile comprehensive notes and organize and edit content of meeting reports
- Assist with general branch documentation needs.
- Serves as TMB Branch Manager and Project Manager for the 3D-MOFIB TDC, coordinating projects, tracking milestones and budgets, collecting project updates, organizing workshops, and preparing scientific presentations and updates.
- Supports scientific and program operations by collecting information for data calls and leadership requests, conducting information searches, assembling data, preparing reports, and maintaining branch documentation.
- Attends meetings, records and edits meeting notes, tracks action items and deadlines, maintains spreadsheets, monitors funding and budgets, prepares summaries and analyses, and presents project updates to laboratory staff.
