Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopaedics business to establish a standalone orthopaedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals. This role is an analytical, execution‑focused individual contributor position supporting the SEA cluster through incentive operations, commercial analytics, and performance reporting. This is an exciting opportunity to support the growth of a leading global Orthopaedics business, working with an innovative portfolio and a strong culture of innovation
Reporting into the SEA Commercial Excellence organization, the role works closely with finance, local commercial teams, and regional stakeholders to deliver accurate incentive calculations, disciplined analytics, and reliable commercial insights that support business decision‑making across SEA markets.
This role is suited to a candidate with strong analytical fundamentals who is comfortable working with complex datasets, operating within governed processes, and translating data into clear, decision‑ready outputs.
Key Responsibilities
1. Incentive Operations & Calculations
Support end‑to‑end incentive operations across SEA markets, including:
Incentive scheme execution
Monthly / quarterly incentive calculations
Incentive accruals, reconciliations, and payout support
Prepare and maintain incentive calculation working files, applying assumptions, validating inputs, and producing incentive‑ready outputs
Partner closely with finance, commercial and Global Services teams to support:
Incentive budget checks
Accrual accuracy
Variance explanation and reconciliation
Support year‑end incentive processes including true‑ups, clawbacks, and final accruals, where applicable
Ensure incentive calculations are executed consistently with approved schemes, governance rules, compliance and audit requirements
2. Commercial Analytics & Performance Reporting
Develop and maintain standard commercial analytics and performance reports to support:
Sales performance tracking
Target vs achievement monitoring
Key commercial KPIs (e.g. SFE, incentive drivers, productivity metrics)
Support the creation and upkeep of Power BI dashboards and analytical extracts used by SEA and local market stakeholders
Conduct structured analysis on:
Sales performance trends
Incentive effectiveness and payout drivers
Data anomalies or variations requiring explanation
Translate analytical outputs into clear, fact‑based insights for commercial and other cross-functional stakeholders (e.g. finance)
3. Commercial Data Management & Execution Support
Support preparation, validation, and reconciliation of commercial master data required for analytics and incentive calculations (e.g. hierarchies, product mappings, territory alignments)
Coordinate with local markets to validate data inputs and resolve inconsistencies impacting calculations or reporting
Maintain robust documentation and version control for models, datasets, and analytical outputs to ensure auditability
Support execution of recurring commercial excellence processes with a strong focus on accuracy, timeliness, and process discipline
4. Process Discipline & Continuous Improvement
Execute all activities in line with approved governance frameworks, SOPs, and approval matrices
Identify recurring issues, inefficiencies, or data gaps within incentive and analytics processes and escalate with structured recommendations
Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at:
Reducing manual effort
Improving data quality
Increasing reliability and scalability of commercial analytics and incentive operations
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Statistics, or a related discipline
Min 5 years of experience in Commercial Excellence, Sales Operations, Incentives, Finance Analytics, or a closely related analytical role
Experience in medical device, hospital specialty or healthcare field is preferred
Hands‑on experience with incentive calculations, sales performance analytics, or commercial reporting strongly preferred
Advanced proficiency in Excel (complex formulas, structured models, data validation) required
Experience with Power BI or similar BI tools is an advantage
Exposure to working with cross-functional stakeholders and governed commercial processes is highly desirable
