Securities & Derivatives Analyst 1
The Securities & Derivative Analyst (C09) is an intermediate level position responsible for processing orders and transactions originating from trading desks and branch offices in coordination with the Operations - Transaction Services team. The overall objective of this role is to assist in the clearance, settlement and investigation of client securities and derivatives transactions.
Responsibilities:
Process day to day Securities Trade settlements, Trade matching, funding and other related activities for custody clients.
Resolve settlement related issues and escalate as needed; recommend solutions to resolve complex issues
Check Customer entitlement tracker is in place to ensure timely processing of customer right on corporate action.
Check related website for tracking of corporate action announcement (CA) for the companies and send messages to clients.
Prepare and submit periodic internal and external regulatory reports, regional reporting and MIS for the stake holders.
Coordinate transaction processing issues to the appropriate department and collaborate on a solution
Perform regulatory controls, reconciliations, and record retention activities in accordance with established policies
Coordinate Account opening and client service for Custody & Issuer clients .
Process daily transaction for both Custody & Issuer Clients.
Prepare invoices/bill for DCC & Issuer clients
Ensure processes adhere to control & all related policies.
Identify policy gaps and formulate new policies to enhance the streamlining of trade flow processes
Monitor and provide solutions to errors to minimize risk to the bank
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
2-4 years of relevant banking experience
Completion of JAIBB Banking Professional Exam
Relevant experience preferred in Custody Operations
Fundamental understanding of Custody & Issuer products, services and regulatory policies.
Proven ability to perform various concurrent activities/projects in a high-risk environment
Demonstrated knowledge of computer & other banking systems.
Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
Should have strong analytical ability and should be solution oriented
Incumbent will process job with full ownership and should be team player
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree/University degree or equivalent experience in Business, Accounting or Finance
