Security Systems Analyst
Job Description
What you'll be doing:
- Act as the primary point of contact for security system issues via phone, email, and ticketing platforms
- Use your engineering background to triage and diagnose faults across access control, CCTV, and integrated systems
- Perform remote troubleshooting and fault resolution, avoiding unnecessary engineer dispatch wherever possible
- Identify whether issues are system, configuration, hardware, or network related
- Make informed decisions on when to escalate or dispatch field engineers, ensuring they attend site fully prepared
- Take full ownership of incidents from initial report through to resolution and closure
- Prioritise issues based on business impact and SLA commitments
- Communicate clearly with stakeholders, providing updates and technical explanations
- Monitor system alerts and proactively identify potential issues before they escalate
- Contribute to knowledge sharing and continuous improvement, helping increase first-time fix rates

Qualifications
What we’re looking for:
We’re looking for someone who takes ownership, thinks analytically, and thrives under pressure. Ideally, you’ll have:
Essential:
- Background as a Security Systems Engineer, Installation Engineer, or Commissioning Engineer
- Strong working knowledge of platforms such as:
- Lenel OnGuard
- Software House CCURE
- Genetec, Milestone, or similar
- Proven experience fault-finding and troubleshooting access control and CCTV systems in the field
- Ability to diagnose issues across hardware, software, and basic networking
- Experience deciding whether issues require onsite intervention vs remote resolution
- Familiarity with ticketing / service management systems (ServiceNow, Jira, Remedy, etc.)
- Strong communication skills with the ability to support non-technical users
- Ability to manage multiple issues and prioritise effectively
Desirable:
- Experience working in a helpdesk, service desk, or remote support environment
- Understanding of incident management processes (ITIL)
- Knowledge of TCP/IP, device connectivity, and system integrations
- Experience coordinating or supporting field engineers remotely

Join our Global Physical Security team as a Security Systems Analyst and play a pivotal role in protecting our people, facilities, and assets worldwide. Operating across a truly global footprint, we deliver best‑in‑class physical security through advanced technologies and 24/7 operational excellence.
The Security Systems Analyst role is ideal for an experienced field-based security systems engineer (Lenel, CCURE, Genetec, Milestone, etc.) who is ready to step away from the tools and move into a centralised helpdesk / support environment, using their practical knowledge to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve issues remotely.
As a Security Systems Analyst, you’ll act as the first line of expert support for physical security systems incidents. Using your real-world engineering experience, you’ll assess faults, troubleshoot systems remotely, and determine whether issues can be resolved without sending an engineer—helping reduce downtime, optimise resources, and improve service efficiency.
You’ll own issues from start to finish, combining technical expertise with strong decision-making to ensure the best outcome for the business.
