How does this role contribute to our collective success?
As part of our International Casualty Pricing Team, you will play a key role in supporting the pricing of treaty business across Motor, General Liability and Professional Lines.
You will work closely with underwriters and actuarial colleagues to evaluate individual trading relationships, ensuring robust technical pricing and sound risk assessment. Your work will directly contribute to portfolio profitability, informed decision-making, and the continued success of AXIS Re Europe.

What will you do in this role?
• Collect and validate data from clients to input and process it within AXIS pricing tools.
• Liaise with underwriting and actuarial colleagues to properly understand and reflect the risk.
• Perform loss modelling of International Casualty business.
• Use actuarial methods to estimate expected losses, cash flows, and risk aggregations.
• Advise management on technical pricing and ensure robust economic and actuarial evaluation of commercial agreements.
• Provide actuarial input into portfolio monitoring, business planning, and projections.
• Collect client and market data and perform actuarial studies.
• Support the development and maintenance of data analytics tools and models.
• Participate in cross-functional teams and projects and promote actuarial best practices.
• Participate in client and broker meetings; some travel may be required.
• You may also be required to take on additional duties, responsibilities and activities appropriate to the nature of this role.

What you need to have:
• University degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science or a similar technical field.
• Qualified member of an actuarial society (e.g., CAS, IFoA, SAV or equivalent) or actively working towards qualification.
• Several years of experience in actuarial pricing, preferably within a reinsurance environment.
• Exposure to Casualty pricing, including Motor, across Europe, APAC, Middle East, and Latin America is strongly desired.
• Experience participating in or leading internal projects.
• Advanced IT skills, including familiarity with programming languages (e.g., VBA, R, SQL, C#).
• Strong proficiency in Excel and MS Office.
• Fluent in English is required; German or French is desirable.
Role Factors:
In this role, you will typically be required to be in the office at least 3 days per week, or when required as per your manager.
For this position, we currently expect to offer a base salary in the range of X to Y. Your salary offer will be based on an assessment of a variety of factors including your specific experience and work location.
