Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Invoicing and Entry Analysis•
Using standardized invoicing template and external reports to create JVs
• Reversing historical entries as needed• Using pre-built discrepancy reports to systematically compare revised invoice amounts against original GL entries for each event.
• Produce clear, written explanations of identified differences that articulate why the numbers diverge
• Perform completeness checks against show and event records to identify activity that appears to have been missed entirely or billed at an incorrect amount.Cash Investigation & Reallocation Analysis
• Review original payment entries that were offset against the legacy receivable GL account and document how those should be reclassified to the appropriate customer sub-ledger.
• Investigate unallocated cash still sitting in bank accounts and determine the correct customer and invoice to which it should be applied.• Review instances of incorrect cash application and document the proper treatment, providing sufficient detail to support correcting entries by the GFSS team.
• Flag patterns or systemic issues across the cash application population — where the same error type appears repeatedlyReporting & Stakeholder Communication
• Organize and consolidate findings from both workstreams into structured summaries suitable for review by the GFSS team prior to escalation to other stakeholders
• Liaise with label finance teams to obtain source documentation or clarification needed to support analysis.
• Escalate ambiguous or complex items with a clear description of the issue
• Meet defined project milestones; work is paced by project deadlines, not by monthly close cycles.
Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• 4+ years of experience in a billing, revenue accounting, general ledger, or shared services environment.
• SAP experience required; must be able to read and interpret customer sub-ledgers, general ledger, and cash application transaction data (S/4HANA preferred).
• Demonstrated ability to work with analytical and reconciliation reports to investigate discrepancies. Comfort navigating between source data and summary reports is essential.
• Working knowledge of how customer sub-ledgers, open-item management, GL reconciliation accounts, and cash application function in SAP.
• Intellectually curious• Excellent written and spoken English
• Experience in entertainment, music, live events, or merchandise industries is an asset but not required.
