Role Summary

Help shape the next generation of portfolio management technology at T. Rowe Price.

The Fixed Income Investments Technology team at T. Rowe Price is seeking an experienced Senior Analyst to partner with business and engineering teams in building the next generation of cloud-first portfolio management capabilities.

This role is ideal for someone who combines strong business analysis and domain expertise with a technology-forward mindset. You will serve as a key partner to both engineering and business stakeholders, helping translate investment needs into scalable solutions across the Fixed Income organization. A major focus of the role will be supporting Portfolio Management workflows and related capabilities that directly impact front-office investment teams.

This is more than a traditional business analyst role. We are looking for someone who can blend subject matter expertise, product thinking, analytical rigor, and an engineering mindset to help deliver high-quality tools for investment professionals.

Why this Role Is Exciting:

You will work closely with front-office technology teams and investment professionals to deliver software products that support critical decision-making across fixed income investing. In this role, you will:

  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across fixed income asset classes
  • Partner with engineers to define complex business logic and domain-specific calculations
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows, data quality, and investment outcomes through technology
  • Contribute to a broader technology and data transformation underway across the firm

At T. Rowe Price, we are making significant investments in the future of our technology and data platforms. We have ambitious goals and a clear vision for where we are headed. Collaboration is central to how we work, and we value curious, thoughtful, team-oriented individuals who enjoy learning, solving problems, and working across disciplines. You’ll join a team of diverse thinkers who bring different perspectives together to build impactful solutions for the business.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with Portfolio Managers, Risk Managers, Quants, and Investment Analysts across global teams
  • Partner with stakeholders and engineering teams to define, develop, and deliver the business cases and roadmaps for Fixed Income portfolio management
  • Translate business needs into clear product requirements, user stories, and prioritized backlog items
  • Communicate priorities, progress, and tradeoffs clearly to both business and technology stakeholders
  • Work closely with agile technology teams to implement business requirements, process improvements, and automation opportunities
  • Analyze portfolio management workflows and propose innovative technology solutions that improve efficiency and business outcomes
  • Identify data quality and integrity issues, perform in-depth analysis, and recommend solutions
  • Independently troubleshoot functional and quantitative issues related to portfolio analytics and investment workflows
  • Support the development of prototype logic and analytical approaches that help define complex business rules and calculation methodologies

Qualifications

Required:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in an analyst, business analyst, product analyst, or similar role
  • Strong ability to work across both business and technology teams
  • Experience gathering requirements, prioritizing work, and supporting delivery in a collaborative environment
  • Ability to independently analyze and troubleshoot functional and/or quantitative issues in portfolio analytics or related investment workflows
  • Strong communication, relationship management, and problem-solving skills

Preferred:

  • Experience working with Portfolio Managers and Trading teams
  • Experience with portfolio management and trading platforms
  • Systems analysis experience or experience analyzing data for front-office investment functions
  • General knowledge of macroeconomic and financial markets, particularly within the asset management industry
  • Strong data analysis skills, including:
    • SQL queries
    • Excel / Access data manipulation
    • Jupyter notebooks
