The Senior Analyst must be passionate about oil and condensate markets and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment that is continuously evolving.

What you’ll do:

  • Generate differentiated market insights and translate them into actionable trade ideas, optimization strategies, and risk assessments

  • Partner closely with trading teams to evaluate risk/reward scenarios and support execution of commercial and marketing strategies

  • Deliver timely, decision-focused market intelligence and ad hoc analysis to support commercial decisions, asset valuation, market entry/exit assessments, and business development opportunities

  • Collaborate with geographically dispersed teams and key stakeholders to maintain aligned market views and clearly communicate market drivers, risks, and commercial impacts to both technical and non-technical audiences

  • Drive continuous improvement of analytical tools, modeling approaches, data processes, and the team’s analytics platform and technology stack

  • Act as a subject matter expert by building strong cross-functional relationships and providing mentorship and guidance to other analysts while operating independently in a fast-paced environment

Who you are:

Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum requirements:

  • Legally authorized to work in Canada

  • Post-secondary degree in a quantitative discipline such as Economics, Finance, Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field

  • Minimum 8+ years of experience in market fundamentals, energy analytics, or commodities trading environments

  • Strong knowledge of condensate and/or crude markets, including infrastructure, supply/demand fundamentals, and pricing dynamics

  • Advanced analytical and quantitative modeling capabilities, with strong attention to data accuracy, assumptions, and market interpretation

  • Proficiency with SQL and Excel, with working knowledge of Python, R, or similar tools used for data analysis, modeling, and automation

  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to connect market fundamentals to trading strategies and business outcomes

  • Proven ability to communicate complex market insights and influence stakeholders, including senior leadership audiences

  • Experience operating in fast-paced, decision-driven environments supporting real-time or near-term commercial decisions

  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently with minimal supervision
