As part of the AES Strategic Sourcing team, the Senior Analyst, Supply Chain will support knowledge and best practice sharing, process-driven collaboration and full leverage of scale across AES’s renewable businesses. The Senior Supply Chain Analyst, leverages data analysis and supply chain expertise to optimize operations and ensure a seamless flow of goods. This individual works independently to analyze data, identify potential bottlenecks, and recommend solutions to enhance efficiency and address capacity concerns. The Senior Supply Chain Analyst collaborates with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with business goals. Through proactive problem-solving and a strong understanding of supply chain principles, this role plays a vital part in maintaining a high-performing and resilient supply chain.
Main Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with key US Renewables Supply Chain stakeholders, focusing on High Voltage owner furnished equipment (OFE).
- Support contracting efforts across AES renewable businesses which includes negotiating strategic supply agreements and to ensure safe and timely supply of renewable equipment for category.
- Establish and cultivate strategic relationships with renewable equipment vendors ensuring purchasing strategy (including preferred vendors, pricing, terms and conditions) leverages AES scale to the benefit of businesses in the portfolio
- Work with the Procurement team to ensure purchases are timely and accurate. This includes reviewing and negotiating order specific pricing and terms and conditions, the review of change orders, supplier compliance with orders (quality, delivery, safe harbor, etc), and escalation with suppliers
- Work with project teams to define sourcing strategies - including the exploration of alternate sources of supply, the consolidation of requirements across AES businesses, alternative solutions or technologies, cost avoidance, inventory reduction, standardization, low cost country sourcing etc.
- Manage category “knowledge” (suppliers, supplier financial performance, total cost models and market analysis)
- Maintain sourcing documentation for contracts and manage bidding process and development for category
- Monitor and evaluate supplier performance through KPIs, scorecards, and/or regular business reviews, driving continuous improvement in quality, delivery, cost, responsiveness, and compliance while partnering with internal stakeholders and suppliers to resolve performance issues, mitigate supply chain risks and support on time delivery.

Minimum Qualifications:
- 2-4 years of experience in supply chain or energy industry
- Technical knowledge and skill in utility scale projects will be highly considered
- Analytical background with the ability to build relations and great communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc)
- Bachelor Degree or certifications in engineering, supply chain management, or business administration
