Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare workpapers and supporting documentation for transfer pricing compliance, including Local Files, Master File support, and intercompany documentation.
  • Complete routine, standardized intercompany service-fee support processes, including calculations, invoice support, and documentation in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Retrieve, validate, and reconcile financial and operational data from Oracle, Power BI, Excel, and other internal systems.
  • Maintain transfer pricing compliance calendars, trackers, templates, and completed documentation.
  • Collect and organize documentation requested for India permanent establishment (PE) review support, including contracts, statements of work, intercompany arrangements, and personnel or contractor information, under the direction of authorized Tax leadership.
  • Assist with collecting routine data and documentation from Finance, Accounting, HR, Legal, and local business teams, and escalate non-routine matters to the Manager.
  • Prepare schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation for use in responses to financial statement and tax authority audits, under the direction of authorized Tax leadership.
  • Support process improvements, standardization, and automation initiatives within the Tax function.
  • Perform other duties as needed to support the Tax function that are administrative, analytical, and support-oriented in nature and consistent with established internal procedures.

Role Scope and Authority

This position is an internal support role within the Tax function and works under the supervision of the Manager, International Tax & Transfer Pricing. The position does not have authority to negotiate, approve, or execute contracts; bind any Greif entity; make independent tax, legal, or commercial determinations; or represent the company before tax authorities except as specifically directed by authorized Tax leadership.

The role does not include sales, business development, procurement negotiation, customer solicitation, or operational management responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
  • Three to four years of experience in tax, accounting, or a shared-services environment, preferably with a multinational corporation or public accounting firm.
  • Basic familiarity with transfer pricing and international tax concepts.
  • Experience with transfer pricing documentation, intercompany accounting, or international tax compliance preferred.
  • CA/CMA, CPA progress, or comparable professional qualification preferred.
  • Working knowledge of financial statements, reconciliations, tax compliance processes, and documentation standards.
  • Strong Excel skills, including lookups, pivot tables, reconciliations, and data validation.
  • Experience with Oracle, SAP, Power BI, Alteryx, or similar systems preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage recurring deadlines.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively across global teams.
