The Position

The Senior Specialist Analytics Developer is the most senior individual contributor role within the Analytics Centre of Excellence (CoE), responsible for leading the technical delivery of complex analytics solutions and acting as a subject matter expert. The Senior Specialist Analytics Developer is accountable for the quality and governance of analytics outputs through the Develop and Deliver phases, while also consulting on Discover and Define activities to ensure solutions are viable, well-scoped and aligned to the CoE's Target Operating Model.

Beyond technical delivery, the Senior Specialist Analytics Developer takes an active role in developing the capabilities of Analytics Developers and Specialist Analytics Developers within the team, facilitating knowledge sharing and coaching to continuously raise the standard of analytics practice across the CoE. The role also drives innovation — identifying opportunities to leverage AI, automation and emerging analytics techniques to deliver greater value for JLL and its clients.

  • Consulting on new project intake to provide technical assessment of proposed solutions, advising on feasibility, effort and delivery approach; contributing to prioritisation decisions.
  • Leading solution design for complex analytics initiatives, defining technical architecture, data models and development standards; reviewing and approving wireframes to ensure alignment with CoE standards.
  • Building the most technically complex analytics solutions, setting the standard for quality and innovation across the sub-team.
  • Accountable for QA across the sub-team — overseeing code reviews, data validation and visualisation reviews to ensure all solutions meet CoE quality standards before release.
  • Supporting and overseeing User Acceptance Testing (UAT) processes, ensuring client feedback is incorporated effectively.
  • Accountable for the publish and documentation process across the sub-team, ensuring all solutions are correctly deployed to the Azara production environment with comprehensive documentation.
  • Driving data fluency initiatives across client and account teams, promoting a data-informed culture.
  • Identify, pilot and embed opportunities to leverage AI to deliver automation and efficiency across the Analytics Centre of Excellence operations.
  • Partnering Account Analytics, Advanced Analytics and Sustainability Analytics to ensure the Centre of Excellence follows the full BI solution lifecycle as defined by an agreed target operating model, including:
  • Discover: Project intake and prioritisation
  • Define: Scoping, wireframe and solutions design
  • Develop: Build, QA and UAT
  • Deliver: Deployment and documentation
  • Drive: Launch and enable insights
  • Acting as a key partner to other JLL/T teams that will directly input into the success of the Centre of Excellence, including Azara product and customer success teams, Data Engineering and self-service BI platform team.

Major responsibilities:

  • Day-to-day technical leadership across all Analytics Centre of Excellence analytics delivery processes, as defined within the Target Operating Model.
  • Leading innovation with regards to analytics and automation to evolve business processes and team capabilities; identifying opportunities for JLL and client stakeholders supported by the specific CoE sub-team.
  • Inspirational leadership; ensuring continuous development and growth of skills and experiences; whilst fostering a strong and engaged culture founded on the values of collaboration, integrity, courage and customer focus.
  • Deliver analytics development services at scale; deploying real estate analytics into the business and our clients.

  • Actively facilitate feedback cycles to developers within the specific sub-team on the development of new initiatives.
  • Effective partnership with account and platform solutions and insights delivery teams; ensuring the work of the CoE is aligned with the requirements of customers and delivers quantifiable benefit to the business.
