Be part of the team helping shape the future of the economy. Institutional Banking & Markets (IB&M) partners with corporate and institutional clients, connecting capital, insights and expertise to help them grow, manage risk and navigate complex financial decisions.
As part of the AI Solutions team within Global Markets, you'll develop and deliver AI-powered solutions that support forecasting, pricing and decision-making. You'll combine software engineering, data science and business knowledge to help turn strong AI adoption into measurable commercial outcomes while working on some of the organisation's most advanced AI initiatives.

You'll join a team responsible for AI solutions across Institutional Banking & Markets and the development of quantitative applications and analytics across Global Markets. Working closely with data scientists, engineers, business stakeholders and industry partners, you'll help take AI use cases from concept through to production.
- Deliver AI and machine learning solutions focused on forecasting, pricing and risk management challenges within Global Markets.
- Take use cases from discovery and experimentation through to production deployment and ongoing optimisation.
- Build agentic and generative AI applications using modern frameworks and enterprise AI platforms.
- Collaborate with engineers, data scientists and stakeholders to design scalable and practical solutions.
- Partner directly with business stakeholders to identify opportunities and refine AI use cases.
- Contribute to testing, model validation, deployment, monitoring and governance practices.
- Apply emerging AI capabilities in a commercially focused environment where innovation and impact are equally important.
- Continuously develop your expertise in both AI and financial markets.

Bring strong hands-on AI experience, a passion for solving complex problems and a desire to work in a fast-moving environment. Whether you come from a financial markets background or are looking to deepen your understanding of markets, you'll be excited by the opportunity to apply cutting-edge AI techniques to real-world challenges.
- Have professional experience ideally within AI, machine learning, quantitative analytics or a related technical field.
- Demonstrate strong Python programming skills supported by testing and version control practices.
- Have experience building generative AI or agentic AI solutions and can articulate the technical decisions behind them.
- Have hands-on experience with cloud AI platforms such as AWS or Azure within an enterprise environment.
- Are curious, adaptable and capable of quickly applying new AI capabilities to practical business problems.
- Can translate technical concepts into meaningful outcomes for business stakeholders.
- Have an interest in financial markets and are motivated to develop deeper knowledge of forecasting, pricing and risk management.
- Hold a degree in quantitative finance, actuarial studies, mathematics, engineering, data science, computer science or a related discipline. Postgraduate qualifications will be highly regarded.
