Senior Associate, Vendor Master Data

As a key member of Moderna’s global Procure-to-Pay and Procurement community, you will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and governance of vendor master data across our global operations. This position combines operational excellence, process ownership, stakeholder partnership, compliance oversight, and digital transformation to create a seamless vendor experience while supporting Moderna’s continued growth.
Working within a fast-paced, high-growth environment, you will help drive standardization, process optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives while leveraging modern systems, automation, and digital tools to enhance vendor onboarding and master data management processes. This role offers significant exposure across Procurement, Finance, Digital, Compliance, and external vendor communities globally.
Here’s What You’ll Do:
On Operational Excellence:
Manage the end-to-end supplier onboarding process, including completion of required vendor due diligence reviews and validation of all supporting documentation.
Maintain the Vendor Master Database, including vendor creation, vendor extensions, updates to existing records, and ongoing master data maintenance within SAP.
Ensure accurate processing, validation, and maintenance of vendor information across Moderna’s global operations.
Provide day-to-day support to internal business stakeholders and external vendors regarding Vendor Master Data processes and requirements.
Deliver one-on-one and group training sessions for system users to promote process understanding and adoption.
Ensure compliance with Vendor Master Data, Procurement, Finance, and internal control requirements, including SOX-related controls.
Identify opportunities to strengthen controls, improve process effectiveness, and support implementation of approved enhancements.
Prepare and provide data required for both internal and external audit activities.
Support the implementation, enhancement, testing, and adoption of vendor master data systems and applications to help create a highly digital, efficient, and scalable operating environment.
Partner with Digital teams to ensure systems, tools, and workflows perform according to design and business requirements.
Contribute to the rollout, optimization, administration, and execution of process improvement initiatives, many of which have cross-functional and enterprise-wide impact.
Drive standardization efforts across Vendor Master Data processes and reporting activities.
Perform control monitoring, reporting activities, analysis, and other ad hoc Procure-to-Pay responsibilities as required.
Help shape a modern, digitally enabled vendor management environment by supporting automation, data quality initiatives, and opportunities to leverage emerging technologies, including AI-enabled process improvements.
On People and Stakeholder Management:
Collaborate closely with Procurement, Finance, Compliance, Digital, and other internal stakeholders to communicate Moderna’s vendor requirements and process standards.
Work directly with vendors to ensure all onboarding documentation and master data requirements are completed accurately and efficiently.
Ensure all vendor records are appropriately supported by required documentation and maintained in accordance with Moderna policies and procedures.
Support positive vendor relationships by facilitating onboarding activities and providing clear instructions and guidance throughout the process.
Respond promptly and effectively to vendor and business inquiries.
Prepare analyses, metrics, reports, and insights for stakeholders, leadership teams, and reporting purposes.
Build strong working relationships across global teams to support continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives.
This role requires an individual who is comfortable challenging the status quo, driving change, navigating ambiguity, and contributing within a rapidly evolving, high-growth organization. Success will come from balancing attention to detail with a continuous improvement mindset while helping Moderna scale its global operations and maintain the highest standards of data quality, compliance, and stakeholder service.

Here’s What You’ll Need (Minimum Qualifications)
Bachelor’s degree
2+ years’ experience in Vendor Master Data, Procurement Operations, P2P, or related processes in a GBS or BPO environment, preferably in Life Sciences/Health Care industry
Experience with financial systems such as SAP, Ariba, OpenText, Coupa, or similar platforms
Excellent Polish and English skills, both written and verbal. Additional languages are a plus
