Job Description

  • Conduct discovery sessions with report owners and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to understand existing manual reporting processes.
  • Analyze and document end-to-end business processes, including undocumented workflows.
  • Capture business rules, calculations, exceptions, inputs, outputs, and process dependencies.
  • Translate business needs into clear, detailed functional requirements for development teams.
  • Create, maintain, and update business process documentation and requirements for each automation initiative.
  • Collaborate with developers by answering business-related questions and coordinating follow-up discussions with SMEs.
  • Define expected outputs and acceptance criteria to support solution validation.
  • Support report reviews, business validation, testing, and SME sign-off activities.
  • Monitor discovery progress and provide light project coordination support when needed.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery of automation initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar business analysis role.
  • Strong experience gathering, analyzing, and documenting business and functional requirements.
  • Experience facilitating discovery sessions and stakeholder interviews.
  • Excellent process mapping and business documentation skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in Agile or similar project environments.
  • Experience supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and business validation activities.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Exposure to process improvement or automation initiatives is highly preferred.
  • Experience providing light project coordination support is a plus.

What is this position about?

We are looking for a Business Analyst to support the discovery, documentation, and automation of manual reporting processes.
