Position Overview
Business Analyst play a critical role in the delivery and evolution of PAXUS’s core product suite within the Funds Administration industry. PAXUS is seeking a mid-Senior level professional who will be responsible for designing and maintaining high‑quality software solutions that support global clients and strategic product objectives.
As a senior member of the development team, the role contributes technical leadership, mentors other business analysts, and works closely with Product, Development, and Support teams across the APAC region to ensure reliable, scalable, and secure solutions are delivered on time.
The position is based in Sydney, reporting to the General Manager (APAC), with flexible working arrangements available.
Position Responsibilities
General Role Responsibility
- Support product roadmap initiatives alongside the APAC Business Analyst team.
- Develop high-quality requirements documentation, test plans, and test cases aligned with business objectives.
- Contribute to the ongoing development process of the PAXUS product suite, including client‑facing portals and internal systems.
- Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, maintainable, and performant.
- Participate in discussions and architecture decisions.
Supporting Clients
- Attend to daily client support queries in collaboration with the Support function.
- Client engagement alongside the CRM function to gather requirements, identify pain points, and validate product direction.
- Engagement with key clients to inform on product enhancements and strategic initiatives.
- Develop business cases and impact analyses to support product recommendations based on client feedback, support data, and market insights.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
- Work closely with Product Managers, Developers, QA, and Support teams to deliver high‑quality outcomes.
- Participate in client consultations where required.
- Contribute accurate estimates, status updates, and risk identification to project delivery.
Essential Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree / reputable tertiary qualifications.
- 10+ years of qualified experience in a business analyst role or finance/accounting discipline
- Enjoys problem solving, analytical & numerical analysis.
- Ability to communicate and work effectively within a multi-region team and global client base.
Essential Soft Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across distributed, cross‑functional teams.
- Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and professionalism.
Desirable (Highly Regarded)
- Fund administration or securities markets experience.
