What We're Looking For:
Business analysts act as advisors to the business and support sound decision making through the use of data driven insights, coupled with strong business acumen. They work with stakeholders to understand business challenges, design queries and reports to understand root cause, and advise and consult with leadership to implement solutions.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Working directly with business stakeholders, designs a wide variety of moderately complex reports and some complex reports using data from one or multiple systems to specifications. Delivers report in format to aid stakeholders outside the functional area (PowerPoint, PDF, etc.)
- Reviews delivered reports for data accuracy. Independently works to resolve quality issues of limited scope and escalates complex quality issues to supervisor or senior staff for resolution
- Demonstrates intermediate level knowledge of KPIs, team roles, and business processes in assigned area and interconnections with data and processes in adjacent areas
- Uses business acumen to look beyond the data to generate recommendations for a wide variety of moderately complex problems to review directly with business stakeholders
- Identifies and interprets trends and patterns in datasets to locate influences
- Maintains data quality and governance in assigned systems. May be responsible for data governance processes and quality in assigned area of responsibility
- Coaches junior level analysts in data governance, report design and analysis, and data presentation
- Leads complex analytics projects and automation initiatives
- Demonstrates deep understanding of enterprise data systems and distributed environments, cloud data warehouse solutions and data transformation tools
- Demonstrates working knowledge of Python or similar tools used for automation, validation, and data preparation
- Demonstrates strong knowledge of business KPIS / metrics, data governance standards
- Designs and optimizes scalable pipelines between cloud data warehouse solutions, data transformation tools and data visualization platforms
- Safeguards data quality. Aligns to global data standards
- Operates independently and mentors junior level analysts

- Bill of Materials Experience
- Intermediate systems knowledge in assigned functional area. Working knowledge of how systems work together and functionality of systems upstream and downstream
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Can present data in a visually compelling format to help business stakeholders understand the issues, possibilities and recommendations
- Intermediate presentation skills required. Some formal training in public speaking / presentation skills preferred. Experience presenting to Director and above audiences

Minimum Education or Equivalent:
- Bachelors Degree. In lieu of a degree, candidates with 9+ years of experience, including leadership or mentorship of junior analysts, will be considered if they have advanced SQL skills, experience designing data pipelines, intermediate skills in Python (or a similar scripting language) for automation and data preparation, and proven ability to lead complex analytics projects and influence stakeholders
