Job Description

This role is based in Bangalore.

LinkedIn is looking for a Senior Business Systems Analyst. In this role, the employee will provide effective collaboration, facilitation, and leadership to the BizApps team and business partners, through both support and implementation of new tools/applications, entity rollouts, projects etc.  Ideal candidates will have strong hands on experience with demonstrated leadership in handling finance cross functional projects. This position will develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of each business unit's priorities, their corresponding strategy, as well as the supporting IT strategies. This role will work closely with BizApps leadership as well as foster relationships with stakeholders within key business units sponsoring initiatives.   

Responsibilities: 

  • Serve as the functional lead and Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Order-to-Cash (O2C) domain, driving solution design, enhancements, support, and continuous process improvements across the end-to-end O2C lifecycle.

  • Partner with global business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and prioritize business requirements, translating them into scalable functional designs and solution specifications.

  • Lead business process workshops, perform fit-gap analyses, and recommend industry best practices to optimize Oracle ERP capabilities.

  • Design, configure, and support Oracle EBS/Fusion Finance solutions with primary expertise in O2C while contributing across Record-to-Report (R2R), Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Tax, Revenue Management, and other Finance applications.

  • Collaborate with technical teams, integration architects, and third-party vendors to design and support integrations between Oracle ERP and upstream/downstream applications, including CRM, CPQ, tax engines (e.g., Vertex), and other enterprise systems.

  • Drive global ERP implementations, entity rollouts, system enhancements, and transformation initiatives, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.

  • Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT), System Integration Testing (SIT), regression testing, data validation, cutover planning, and post-go-live stabilization activities.

  • Partner with developers and integration teams to define API requirements, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure seamless system interoperability.

  • Ensure business solutions comply with financial controls, SOX requirements, revenue recognition standards (ASC 606), and global statutory and tax regulations.

  • Analyze business challenges, identify process improvement opportunities, and recommend technology solutions that improve operational efficiency and user experience.

  • Develop and maintain functional documentation, business process flows, configuration documents, test scripts, and knowledge repositories to support sustainable application management.

  • Provide production support for critical business processes, performing root cause analysis and driving timely resolution of complex application issues.

  • Build trusted relationships with business leaders, finance teams, IT partners, and external vendors through effective communication and stakeholder management.

  • Influence solution decisions by balancing business priorities, system capabilities, scalability, and long-term technology strategy.

  • Mentor junior Business Systems Analysts and provide functional leadership across cross-functional project teams.

  • Promote standardized processes, governance, and best practices across Finance systems while driving continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Collaborate with Project Managers, Enterprise Architects, Data Architects, and Engineering teams to deliver enterprise-wide digital transformation programs.

  • Stay current with Oracle ERP product roadmaps, emerging technologies, and industry best practices, proactively recommending innovations that enhance business capabilities.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications: 

  • BA/BS degree  

  • 8+ years of experience providing Oracle Applications implementation and support in a customer-facing role for Record to report and Source to pay.  

  • Hands on experience in implementing and supporting Oracle Financials (Oracle E-Business Suite), EB-Tax, Approvals Management (AME), Cash Management and GL modules. 

  • Experience of SOX controls, compliance and change management for business systems.  

  • Experience with Oracle table structures, Schemas, Oracle open interfaces. Must be able to write basic SQL scripts.  

  • Experience defining functional design for custom solutions, conversions and interfaces.  

  • Experience in executing financial projects in Oracle applications. 

  • Should have experience in identifying business problems and proposal of automated solutions. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Deep expertise in Oracle EBS and/or Oracle Fusion Finance with strong functional knowledge of the Order-to-Cash lifecycle.

  • Working knowledge of adjacent Finance processes including R2R, P2P, Tax, Revenue Management, Fixed Assets, and General Ledger.

  • Experience integrating Oracle ERP with CRM, CPQ, tax engines, and other enterprise applications using APIs and middleware technologies.

  • Strong understanding of financial controls, SOX compliance, ASC 606 revenue recognition, and global finance processes.

  • Exceptional stakeholder management, communication, facilitation, and problem-solving skills with the ability to influence both technical and business audiences.

  • Experience leading global ERP implementations, process transformation initiatives, and cross-functional projects in complex enterprise environments.

  • Hands-on implementation experience with the following (Oracle Preferred) 

  • Oracle R12 General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Accounts Payables, Purchasing, Cash Management, Account Receivables, EB Tax, Approvals Management and Oracle HR is a plus 

  • Experience in partnering with Tax, FPA and Engineering systems is a big plus 

  • Knowledge and experience with other tools like OBIEE and Oracle EBS infrastructure is a big plus  

  • Strong understanding of global accounting principles, global intercompany, month-end close, reconciliation, and accounting processes in all financial disciplines (e.g., record-to-report, procure-to-pay, and quote-to-cash) 

  • Must have strong understanding of SOX controls, compliance and change management for business systems. 

  • Ability to lead multiple projects with competing priorities across worldwide based 
    talent in multiple time zones 

  • Familiarity with Systems Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and experience with OUM or AIM  

  • Knowledge and experience with financial reporting tools like Essbase and HFM is a plus
