Job Summary
The Senior Collections Analyst is responsible for managing an assigned portfolio of customer accounts within the Sales Ledger, driving cash collection performance, minimising bad debt risk, and ensuring an excellent customer experience. The role involves resolving customer disputes, managing overdue accounts, and supporting the day-to-day operations of the Collections team to achieve key business and cash flow objectives.

What you will do:

  • Maintain Customer accounts within the designated credit limit and aged debt profile
  • Ensure all sums are paid on outstanding accounts to terms
  • Attend regular meetings with sales and other departments to minimise customer disputes
  • Record all summary details of all contact with Customers
  • Process any credit held orders and contact sales/customers where necessary
  • Record and action all queries and disputed invoices
  • Prepare accounts for review by Management when required
  • Process journal adjustments as necessary
  • Ensure documentation / filing kept up to date and accurate
  • Assist with new customer on-boarding
  • Refer any accounts where problems exist at an early stage and prepare accounts for litigation
  • Visit customers when necessary to ensure the smooth running of the account
  • Ensure maximum efficiency of the Sales Ledger by liaising with other departments within CDW
  • Cover holiday periods and assist with any departmental needs as and when necessary
  • Carry out other tasks as detailed by the Credit Manager or Company Management
  • Work closely with Collections Managers to support initiatives and projects for process improvement
  • Management of the team cash sheets to maintain the accuracy of sales ledger for collection purposes
  • Own the onboarding and training of new staff members
  • Assist with training of existing team members
  • Be a “Go To” member of the team.
  • Specialise in a field to support the collections’ function.
  • Assist with team reporting
  • Being responsible for ad hoc projects
  • Presenting both to the Collections team and externally where required
  • Being involved with process improvements and system implementations

What we expect of you:

  • Senior level experience of Credit Control processes
  • Working in a team environment, in a fast-moving industry
  • Appreciation of the role of Collections Industry
  • Communication with key stakeholders
  • Competent IT skills, Excel
