Senior Credit Analyst
As a Senior Analyst, Credit Analysis, you will evaluate the creditworthiness of investment securities that support Manulife's investment portfolio. Working closely with investment teams in the U.S. and Canada, you'll provide credit insights that help drive informed investment decisions while building your expertise in global credit markets.
Position Responsibilities:
- Conduct fundamental credit analysis and assess issuer credit risk.
- Prepare credit reviews, recommendations, and internal credit ratings.
- Develop financial models and analyze financial statements and credit metrics.
- Monitor portfolio issuers, market developments, and emerging credit risks.
- Present credit recommendations and insights to investment professionals and stakeholders.
- Support process improvement, documentation, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in credit analysis, investment analysis, corporate banking, or a related discipline.
- Strong knowledge of financial statement analysis, credit metrics, and financial modeling.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical, research, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting fixed income, insurance, or investment portfolios.
- Familiarity with Bloomberg, Capital IQ, or similar financial platforms.
- Experience presenting analyses and recommendations to stakeholders.
