We are committed to growing your career, so in this role you will: Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Design, implement, and maintain production-ready machine learning systems using both generative and traditional techniques. </li> <li>Architect end-to-end AI solutions for use cases such as intelligent document processing, agentic systems, and information retrieval. </li> <li>Drive the continued development of Berkie, Berkadia’s generative AI platform, ensuring it delivers meaningful access to proprietary data and supports efficiency and growth across the business. </li> <li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams — including product, engineering, and data — to identify impactful problems and translate them into scalable AI solutions. </li> <li>Write maintainable, high-quality code using Python and modern cloud infrastructure; use notebooks as needed for experimentation and rapid iteration. </li> <li>Establish and contribute to best practices in MLOps, including model deployment, monitoring, observability, and continuous improvement. </li> <li>Participate in peer reviews, design discussions, and team learning sessions to foster transparency and knowledge-sharing. </li> <li>Document system designs, decisions, and outcomes to improve clarity and reproducibility across the team. </li> <li>Stay up-to-date with the rapidly evolving ML and GenAI landscape; self-learning and curiosity are essential to success in this role. </li> <li>Take initiative, share wins, and work with purpose — we value engineers who care deeply about their craft and their impact on others. </li> </ul> We are passionate about your growth, so to achieve success in this role you should have:  Qualifications: <ul> <li>6+ years of professional software development experience, with a focus on Python.</li> <li>Experience building both traditional machine learning models (e.g., regression, classification, clustering) and generative AI systems (e.g., LLMs, retrieval-augmented generation, prompt engineering).</li> <li>Required experience designing and building AI agents, including tool use, orchestration, memory/context management, and workflow automation.</li> <li>Required experience building AI evaluation harnesses to test, measure, monitor, and improve agent and LLM application quality.</li> <li>Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and MLOps practices (deployment, monitoring, observability).</li> <li>Experience working with unstructured and semi-structured data, including transforming it into structured formats via machine learning.</li> <li>React frontend development skills/Javascript are a plus.</li> <li>Experience with Agile methodologies and CI/CD practices.</li> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or another STEM field with heavy analytics focus preferred </li> </ul> We believe People Matter, so we offer benefits that go beyond: <ul> <li>Monthly paid volunteer hours and donation matching to benefit our communities </li> <li>Employee Resource Groups that help you grow with us</li> <li>Fertility and family planning services  </li> <li>Up to 12-weeks of fully paid parental leave   </li> <li>Mental health care, including free counseling sessions:  </li> <li>We'll help you fund your learning journey with generous tuition reimbursement </li> <li>Pet insurance discounts </li> <li>And more! </li> </ul> <iframe src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/Ngxnl8ZzIso" width="560" height="314"></iframe> Be Your Best Self.
