This role is critical in supporting the development, coordination, and delivery of design documentation from our global delivery hub. The selected candidate will contribute to a diverse portfolio of projects, with a strong focus on Data Centers, as well as rail, aviation, large-scale building developments, and industrial facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead design of plumbing systems: domestic cold/hot water (including hot water recirculation), sanitary and vent, storm/roof drainage, fuel gas, and specialty/process plumbing as required.
  • Develop basis‑of‑design, calculations (pipe sizing, pressure loss, pump sizing), schematics/p&ids, riser diagrams, equipment schedules, and technical specifications.
  • Produce coordinated BIM/CAD deliverables in Revit and AutoCAD; perform clash detection and resolve interfaces with architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and fire protection.
  • Apply and interpret applicable codes and standards (e.g., IPC/UPC, ASPE, ASME/ASTM, backflow and cross‑connection control) and project‑specific client standards.
  • Define reliability and maintainability strategies (e.g., redundancy, isolation/valving, access/maintenance, leak detection, monitoring).
  • Lead QA/QC reviews, design reviews, risk identification/mitigation, and change control across project stages.
  • Support procurement and construction: review submittals, respond to RFIs, evaluate value‑engineering options, and provide field/commissioning support.
  • Prepare technical reports, calculations, cost estimates, and scope documents; maintain traceability and configuration control.
  • Contribute to proposals, level‑of‑effort estimates, schedules, and resource planning for pursuits and active programs.
  • Champion safety, quality, and sustainability, integrating water efficiency, reuse, and best practices into design.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline (plumbing/building services emphasis).
  • 6+ years of progressive experience in building plumbing systems design and delivery.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Revit MEP and AutoCAD; solid Excel skills for calculations and documentation.
  • Working knowledge of plumbing codes/standards (IPC/UPC, ASPE guidance, backflow prevention) and local jurisdictional requirements.
  • Experience performing hydraulic calculations and equipment sizing (e.g., pumps, water heaters, pressure‑reducing/boosting, storage).
  • Proven track record leading design packages, coordinating across disciplines, and managing scope, schedule, and deliverables.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with client‑facing experience.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced, multi‑project environment and support occasional site visits.
  • Authorization to work in the country of assignment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Civil/Mechanical/Building Services Engineering.
  • Professional licensure/registration (e.g., PE, Chartered Engineer) and/or CPD (ASPE) credential; LEED or equivalent sustainability accreditation.
  • Experience with complex facilities (e.g., healthcare, laboratories, mission‑critical/data centers, industrial).
  • Advanced BIM coordination (Navisworks) and common data environment tools (BIM 360/ACC, Bluebeam).
  • Familiarity with hydraulic modeling tools (e.g., Pipe‑Flo, EPANET, WaterCAD/WaterGEMS) and sizing software.
  • Experience with water reuse/greywater, rainwater harvesting, and water quality/treatment interfaces.
  • Construction and commissioning experience (flushing/disinfection, pressure testing, functional testing, O&M turnover).
  • Exposure to automation/scripting for QA/QC or productivity (e.g., Dynamo, Python) is a plus.
