Summary

Core Molding Technologies is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our Corporate Accounting team. This role provides financial and accounting support across multiple business functions, helping ensure accurate financial reporting, effective cash management, and strong internal controls.

The Senior Financial Analyst partners with Corporate Accounting, Operations, Procurement, and Plant Finance teams to support month-end close, accounts payable and receivable, cash management, financial reporting, and process improvements. This position combines hands-on accounting responsibilities with financial analysis to help drive operational efficiency and informed business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial analysis
  • Manage daily cash positioning, bank reconciliations, liquidity reporting, and banking relationships
  • Execute domestic and international ACH and wire payments while ensuring compliance with internal controls
  • Process purchase orders, invoices, payment approvals, and vendor payments
  • Manage customer accounts, collections, payment application, and accounts receivable activities
  • Monitor expenses and identify opportunities to improve financial performance and cost efficiency
  • Prepare financial reports, dashboards, and ad hoc analyses for leadership
  • Maintain accurate financial data within ERP systems and support system enhancements
  • Administer the corporate credit card program, including reconciliations and policy compliance
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing required documentation and schedules
  • Partner with Operations, Procurement, Supply Chain, and other departments to improve financial processes and reporting
  • Ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, internal controls, and applicable accounting standards

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting, financial analysis, or corporate finance
  • Experience supporting month-end close, reconciliations, financial reporting, and general accounting
  • Experience with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, cash management, and banking transactions
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, and financial analysis
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Epicor, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar)
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, internal controls, and financial reporting
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (written and verbal) required

Preferred

  • Manufacturing industry experience
  • Experience supporting multi-site or corporate accounting organizations
  • Experience with financial reporting, budgeting, or forecasting
  • Experience with Power BI or similar reporting tools
  • CPA or progress toward CPA is a plus
