The Regulatory Reporting Quality Assurance (RRQA) team is responsible for ensuring governance and oversight of regulatory reporting process, with a focus on proactively identifying risks and control improvement opportunities to ensure reports remain accurate, complete, and compliant. This is achieved through Quality Assurance reviews, which include the following pillars:

  • Process & controls testing
  • Testing the conformity of reported data with reporting instructions
  • Gathering, sampling, understanding, and testing the underlying data to ensure data quality for various regulatory reporting purposes


The team partners closely with the Regulatory Report Owners, Technology, Data Governance, and other stakeholders to strengthen the control environment, drive timely remediation, and evolve capabilities through the use of innovative tools, including emerging analytics and GenAI solutions.

The team is looking resource to support QA reviews and ensuring governance of regulatory reporting processes. The job would entail the following activities:

  • Identify and support automation opportunities across the QA lifecycle using available tools and technologies such as Gen AI, SQL, Power BI, and Power Platform to enhance testing efficiency and reporting while simultaneously contributing to adoption of AI/GenAI-enabled capabilities for QA analytics and reporting
  • Perform Process & Control reviews, Conformance testing, and Transaction testing to assess control design, implementation, and data accuracy
  • Identify control gaps, data quality issues, and reporting discrepancies; communicate findings and monitor closure
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting guidelines, internal policies, and governance standards
  • Drive and support QA methodology uplift initiatives, including development of:
    • Coverage rationale frameworks across testing verticals
    • Sampling methodologies and selection criteria
    • Standardized testing procedures and scripts
  • Contribute to risk-based QA scoping, including prioritization assessment and linkage between risk indicators and testing coverage
  • Support implementation of continuous monitoring and trigger-based QA frameworks
  • Design and enhance QA documentation standards, ensuring audit-ready, regulator-defensible outputs 
  • Assist in development of finding classification frameworks, severity models, and issue tracking mechanisms
  • Leverage data analysis, profiling, and trend insights to identify risk areas and inform QA scoping decisions
  • Develop understanding of data lineage, critical data elements (CDEs), and source-to-report traceability

Experience
·      Minimum 3+ years of overall experience in required
·      Prior experience in Quality Assurance, Audit, or Regulatory Reporting is a plus[DD3] [RB4] 
·      Experience in U.S. regulatory reporting QA or financial reporting processes preferred
·      Exposure to data analysis, data controls, and data transformation logic
·      Experience with automation tools (Power Platform, SQL, BI tools)
·      Experience in process improvement or methodology enhancement preferred
·      Must be a self-starter with an ability to drive large scale change.
·      Creative mindset; comfortable working in undefined space and seizing new opportunities.
·      Strong team player who can not only facilitate collaboration but can also step up and lead.
 

Academic Background
·      Postgraduate in commerce/ MBA / Chartered Accountant a plus
·      Prior experience with U.S. regulatory/SEC reporting or public accounting a plus.
 

Functional Skills/Capabilities
·      Must have good communication and interpersonal skills and be able to interact independently with senior business partners / customers etc. 
·      Reporting and analysis experience will be an advantage. Familiarity with US GAAP and financial accounting experience is preferred.
·      Self-driven, team player, have analytical skills and inclination for process improvement.
 

Technical Skills
·      Able to understand and enhance the governance around regulatory reports.
·      Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Quick learner.
 

Knowledge of Platforms
·      MS Office suite (MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint).
·      Oracle, Essbase and RRA (Regulatory Reporting Automation).
·      SharePoint and Power Platform.
·      SQL queries and understanding of database management
