This role will be an integral part of the finance team supporting transportation initiatives and responsible for the preparation of financial forecasts, perform detailed variance analysis, create operational performance reporting, and build board/investor materials. The SFA will play a critical role in ensuring that the company is able to execute its strategic plans and achieve profitable growth.  This role will be the liaison between Finance and the Transportation team, enhancing our ability to forecast, set targets, and measure Transportation cost performance across the company. This role will also partner with others on the FP&A team to enhance ship margin analysis, reporting, and forecasting and will also aid in other strategic projects & ad-hoc work as necessary. This role reports to the FP&A Manager.  What you’ll do:  <ul> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Complete thorough analysis on transportation initiatives each month and communicate key performance drivers and variances to plan to senior management. </li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Collaborate with partners to strategize and report on weekly performance, especially related to Transportation. Provide a timelier outlook on shifts in ship costs and margin. </li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Manage relationships with Transportation team to build bottoms up forecasts and provide areas of risks and opportunities. </li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Support the development and implementation of models and processes for new strategic transportation initiatives. </li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Prepare the annual operating plan by engaging with the Transportation team to build appropriate plans and targets and convert this into the financial budget. </li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reporting presentations for investors and the board highlighting key business metrics, variance to budget and other relevant trends. </li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Provide insightful study of key operational business metrics, develop margin analysis, and communicate findings to respective business partners. </li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Utilize professional knowledge, business acumen, financial concepts, and company objectives to develop and improve models and procedures. </li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Complete continuous improvement and automation in existing files and processes. Find feasible workarounds to complicated files. </li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Continuously work with management to steer improvements in the company's approach to developing key strategies. </li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Proactively provides solutions to business needs in creative and effective ways. Analyze and help optimize investments behind key company strategies. </li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Additional duties and responsibilities as necessary. </li> </ul> What you’ll bring to the table:  <ul> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Bachelor's degree in business, Finance or related degree. </li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">3PL or relevant experience in Transportation required. </li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">3-5 years of experience in FP&A or another related field. </li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Must have: Excellent financial modeling skills and understanding of financial statements. </li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to various stakeholders. </li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">High comfort level with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.  </li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Working knowledge of NetSuite, Smartview, SQL, PowerBI, and Power Query is preferred. </li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;
