Job Summary
Disney Entertainment Television (βDETβ) brings together a portfolio of world-class brands and platforms spanning streaming, broadcast, cable networks, content production, and business operations. The DET Business & Operations Planning team serves as a key partner to leaders across the organization, helping teams make informed decisions about resources, investments, and operational priorities.
The Senior Financial Analyst supports labor and overhead planning for a diverse portfolio of departments across DET. This role offers the opportunity to partner with both finance and non-finance leaders and to develop a broad understanding of how DET operates. The ideal candidate is curious, organized, and energized by solving problems, improving processes, and building relationships across the organization.
In addition to traditional planning and forecasting responsibilities, this role will help shape the future of operational finance through dashboard development, reporting automation, and the application of new technologies that improve visibility, efficiency, and decision-making.
What You Will Do
Strategic Financial Planning & Analysis
Partner with department leaders to develop labor and overhead expense budgets, including financial modeling and scenario planning
Analyze financial results to identify underlying business drivers and highlight risks and opportunities
Prepare reporting and variance analyses that provide actionable insights to business and finance leaders
Business Partnership
Serve as a trusted finance partner to departmental leaders across DET functions helping them to navigate financial processes, budget / funding decisions, and spending priorities
Translate financial concepts into clear, actionable recommendations for finance and non-finance audiences
Build strong cross-functional relationships through ongoing financial and operational guidance
Reporting, Automation & Process Improvement
Develop and enhance dashboards and reporting tools to improve transparency and support decision-making
Identify opportunities to automate manual processes, streamline reports, and improve quality
Leverage technologies such as Power BI and emerging AI capabilities to increase efficiency and scalability
Continuously challenge existing processes and recommend improvements that enable the organization to operate more effectively
Required Qualifications & Skills
2-5 years of experience in finance, accounting, business operations, or a related analytical field
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to transform data into meaningful insights
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build credibility and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization
Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and take ownership of projects from start to finish
Intellectual curiosity and a proactive approach to identifying opportunities, solving problems, and improving processes
Experience with financial systems, data visualization / reporting tools, and emerging AI-enabled technologies
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related quantitative field
The base salary for this position in Burbank, CA is $104,800.00 - $128,000.00. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
