As a Senior Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst, you will report into the Corporate FP&A team in Scottsdale and serve as the finance lead supporting corporate functions where you will lead financial planning & analysis while providing cross functional finance partnership. In this capacity, you will manage financial data including forecasting, month-end close, variance analysis, and business analysis for assigned corporate functions, while also supporting core corporate FP&A processes and operations finance projects. The role involves proactive engagement in investigating opportunities that impact profitability, achievement of annual operating plan targets, process improvement & automation, and cost reduction. The incumbent will use technology to drive better access to financial data to function leaders and drive greater transparency around execution to plan.
What you'll do:
- Serve as the lead finance business partner to assigned corporate functions, routinely analyzing performance and driving meaningful, data-informed change
- Analyze financial and operational data across corporate functions to identify opportunities to improve performance and reduce cost
- Prepare financial reports and present results and analysis to corporate function leaders and senior FP&A leadership
- Assist with preparation of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP), including Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and targets for underlying financial and operational metrics for corporate functions
- Support corporate FP&A forecasting processes and comply with established standards for forecasting accuracy
- Present monthly financial results to leadership via preparation of reports in compliance with established deadlines
- Support operations finance projects, including project-level and initiative-level profitability analysis, presenting findings to operational and functional leaders
- Partner with the broader corporate FP&A team on enterprise-wide processes, reporting cadences, and cross-functional initiatives
- Communicate and champion an environment of collaboration, technology savvy, and customer service
- Use technology to establish and maintain consolidated financial databases across corporate functions and the broader organization
Position Requirements:
- Must be authorized to work in the US
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
- 5+ years of relevant financial experience, including experience partnering directly with functional or business leaders
- Working knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles, internal controls, budgeting, and cost accounting
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word)
Preferred Characteristics:
- Experience working in corporate FP&A, manufacturing, operations, and/or corporate aviation business preferred, not required
- Previous experience with Financial ERP systems (Oracle, SQL, SAP BPC, Hyperion) preferred
- Exhibits and champions professional ethics
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional finance partnerships and manage projects to completion, with strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Self-directed with the ability to display initiative, diligence, and sound judgment while operating with a degree of autonomy
