What is the role?
As a Senior Fraud Analyst, you'll support the wider FCFP business in managing fraud by monitoring, implementing and recalibrating detection strategies that help mitigate ongoing risk and financial loss.
You'll play an important part of ensuring fraud controls are effective while minimising impacts on customer experience, product profitability and brand reputation.
Using data and analytics, you'll analyse and interrogate data to support fraud detection, identify emerging fraud trends, implement and recalibrate detection scenarios within relevant systems, and develop meaningful insights into key trends and anomalies.
Your work will help strengthen our fraud detection capabilities, support better decision making and ensure we're proactively responding to an ever-changing fraud landscape. You'll also collaborate with colleagues across Financial Crime & Fraud Prevention and industry partners to share insights and drive effective fraud outcomes
What do I need:
You'll bring strong analytical capability and enjoy using data to solve complex business problems. You'll be comfortable interrogating datasets to uncover insights, identify emerging fraud trends and recommend improvements to detection strategies.
You'll have experience translating data into meaningful actions and building strong working relationships with stakeholders across different teams. Experience using SQL and/or SAS to analyse data and generate insights
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify patterns, trends and anomalies
- Ability to build effective relationships and collaborate with a broad range of stakeholders
- High attention to detail and a continuous improvement mindset
- Experience in fraud, risk, banking or analytics environments would be highly regarded, with exposure to application fraud, business lending and/or credit assessment considered advantageous
Most importantly, you'll be curious, detail focused and motivated by finding ways to continuously improve how we detect and prevent fraud.
