At UnitingCare, we’re looking for a Senior Functional Analyst to take ownership of our Prophix platform and play a critical role in driving smarter financial processes across the business. Sitting at the intersection of finance and technology, you’ll act as the go-to expert for Prophix, supporting and partnering with teams the wider business to solve complex challenges and deliver meaningful improvements.  
 

This is more than a systems role — it’s an opportunity to influence how we work. You’ll collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders, challenge the status quo, and design solutions that enhance performance, accuracy and efficiency. With a strong foundation in financial principles and deep technical expertise, you’ll bring curiosity, patience and a solutions-focused mindset to continually improve how our systems and people work together.  


Please note, this position is Full Time - Fixed Term (12 – months). Flexibility is important to us, and we know it is to you, too - this role supports hybrid working by agreement. 
 

Your part in our UnitingCare team:   

  • Own and support the Prophix platform, ensuring accurate and timely group consolidation and financial reporting outputs  

  • Act as the subject matter expert for Prophix, driving continuous improvement in processes, models and system capability across the business  

  • Partner with stakeholders across Finance (junior to senior) to understand requirements, solve complex problems and deliver practical, value-driven solutions  

  • Analyse and reconcile financial data, ensuring integrity, accuracy and strong system controls across non-ERP applications  

  • Lead enhancements to financial processes, including intercompany allocations and detailed reporting structures across multiple business areas  

  • Collaborate with technical teams and manage integrations across systems (e.g. Dynamics 365, SAP, SQL) to support seamless data flow and insights  

  • Provide guidance, training and support to end users, enabling effective self-service and adoption of Prophix  

  • Build strong stakeholder relationships and challenge thinking where needed to deliver innovative, fit-for-purpose solutions 

 

What makes a difference for us? 

  • Confidence to satisfy the relevant probity checks required by legislation or policies. This may include a Nationally Coordinated Police Check, Right to Work in Australia  

  • University degree in a relevant field (e.g. computer science, engineering, IT or similar)  

  • Proven experience in a Finance Analyst or similar role, with strong understanding of financial principles and data  

  • Demonstrated expertise in Prophix, with the ability to support consolidation, reporting and system improvements  

  • Strong analytical capability, including advanced Excel and financial modelling skills to interpret complex data  

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence non-financial stakeholders across the business
