At UnitingCare, we’re looking for a Senior Functional Analyst to take ownership of our Prophix platform and play a critical role in driving smarter financial processes across the business. Sitting at the intersection of finance and technology, you’ll act as the go-to expert for Prophix, supporting and partnering with teams the wider business to solve complex challenges and deliver meaningful improvements.
This is more than a systems role — it’s an opportunity to influence how we work. With a strong foundation in financial principles and deep technical expertise, you’ll bring curiosity, patience and a solutions-focused mindset to continually improve how our systems and people work together.
Please note, this position is Full Time - Fixed Term (12 – months). Flexibility is important to us, and we know it is to you, too - this role supports hybrid working by agreement.
Your part in our UnitingCare team:
Own and support the Prophix platform, ensuring accurate and timely group consolidation and financial reporting outputs
Act as the subject matter expert for Prophix, driving continuous improvement in processes, models and system capability across the business
Partner with stakeholders across Finance (junior to senior) to understand requirements, solve complex problems and deliver practical, value-driven solutions
Analyse and reconcile financial data, ensuring integrity, accuracy and strong system controls across non-ERP applications
Lead enhancements to financial processes, including intercompany allocations and detailed reporting structures across multiple business areas
Collaborate with technical teams and manage integrations across systems (e.g. Dynamics 365, SAP, SQL) to support seamless data flow and insights
Provide guidance, training and support to end users, enabling effective self-service and adoption of Prophix
Build strong stakeholder relationships and challenge thinking where needed to deliver innovative, fit-for-purpose solutions
What makes a difference for us?
Confidence to satisfy the relevant probity checks required by legislation or policies. This may include a Nationally Coordinated Police Check, Right to Work in Australia
University degree in a relevant field (e.g. computer science, engineering, IT or similar)
Proven experience in a Finance Analyst or similar role, with strong understanding of financial principles and data
Demonstrated expertise in Prophix, with the ability to support consolidation, reporting and system improvements
Strong analytical capability, including advanced Excel and financial modelling skills to interpret complex data
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence non-financial stakeholders across the business
